Interactive, social activity and basic movement with balance practice and ball circle. Collaborative activities help maintain strength, balance and coordination. Bolero for Beginners Mondays, August 1 & 8, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. East Belfast Elementary School, 14 Swan Lake Avenue, Belfast Bolero is the slowest of all the Latin dances, with sweeping movements that rise and fall like the Waltz. Join Hester Kohl to learn the simple steps of this romantic dance. Individuals and pairs welcome. No experience necessary. Registration is required and is $10/individual or $15/couple. August Parkinson’s Support Group Meeting Tuesday, August 2, Noon to 1:45 p.m. Quarry Hill, 30 Community Drive, Camden Presenter Jeff Weinberger, guitar and ukulele instructor at the Bay Chamber School of Music in Rockport, will describe the physical and emotional benefits of music for those with Parkinson’s—and offer participants an opportunity to make a little music themselves.
