Dear Residents: We Need Your Help! Please help us by cleaning up your trash and belongings around the playground, basketball and tennis courts. Individuals are much more likely to litter into a littered environment. By contrast, a clean community discourages littering and improves overall community quality of life. If you see a rogue piece of trash on your morning walk or while out at the playground, pick it up and throw it away. Research shows that individuals under the age of 30 are more likely to litter than those who are older. Set a good example and teach young children and their friends about litter, recycling and the importance of personal responsibility. Do you know someone who goes out of his or her way to make our community cleaner and greener? Write to us at briarbeat@briarhillspoa. org and we’ll share your story in next month’s Briarbeat! Let’s All Do Our Part and Keep Briarhills Beautiful!
