Ainsley Courte Assisted Living Craft Fair Ainsley Courte Assisted Living is hosting a craft fair on Saturday, October 19th. The facility is located at 15055 North Eldridge Parkway, just around the corner from us between Louetta and Malcomson. There will be over 12 vendors selling handcrafted items ranging from outdoor yard art to wreathes, baskets, Christmas ornaments, candles, breads and jewelry as well as yummy chili for lunch! You are invited to join us between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4 p.m. Besides, it's for a great cause: The money raised is for the delightful senior citizens that live there. After the craft fair, the senior residents will get to vote on what they want to purchase with the funds raised. From the past craft shows, they have purchased a gazebo, a popcorn machine and a stereo system. There will be a raffle, too... but our seniors give those proceeds to the Alzheimer's Association. When you come to the craft fair, you'll have an opportunity not only to support them through a purchase, but you'll be able to see this community of wonderfully fun senior citizens living just 10 minutes from your doorstep. It's a great place to volunteer your time! So what could YOU do? If you play cards or dominoes, you could join the game to help someone who has difficulty

remembering how to play, or join a game of other players who could teach you a thing or two! If you are able to join them on a field trip, Precinct Four provides a handicap bus so that they can go to various locations around Houston. They have visited museums, malls, baseball games, performances and much more. The bus can carry 10 wheelchairs as well as 15 other residents and volunteers, but the number of residents that can attend is always limited to the number of volunteers that are willing to help. It is sad to tell someone they cannot attend as there are not enough volunteers :( Why not come spend some time volunteering?? Don't be surprised if the life you enrich is your own!
