Impact created by engaged active citizens at all levels of society. Impact is the result of collective action. Today’s daily theme is impact. What does impact mean to you? Today’s World Congress events, forums and seminars will answer these questions and more as Congress delegates enjoy diverse and impactful programming. The JCI Morning Show starts the day with a focus on impact, complete with a special guest, prizes and energetic games. Don’t forget to attend the 2014 JCI Vice President Candidates Caucus to hear how the potential 2014 JCI leaders plan on creating impact locally and globally. In the afternoon, participate in the first official business of Congress at General Assembly I as important decisions are made impacting the future of our organization. Use each activity and experience today to think more about how JCI will enable communities to achieve sustainable impact.


Dear 2013 JCI World Congress Delegates and Friends, As JCI President, I could not be happier to welcome you to the 2013 JCI World Congress in the beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! It has been an honor to serve and lead as your President this year and I am so excited about the impact we will create here this week. Enjoy all of the great Congress programs, seminars, forums and ceremonies and be sure to take time to explore the sights and sounds of Rio. Enjoy the local food, samba music, beaches and culture as we celebrate the many accomplishments of our organization in 2013. This is an exciting year for JCI and I know this World Congress in Rio will be truly unforgettable. After an amazing week of positive change, you will leave Rio with a renewed motivation to create impact and collaborate with your fellow Congress delegates to make a difference in our world. Seize every opportunity this week to learn from experts, meet new friends and connect with active citizens from across the globe.
