Renewing The Promise 2025

HONOR THE PAST. INVEST IN THE FUTURE.

Dear Peachtree Family,

When we began Renewing the Promise together in 2023, we dreamed boldly of what God might do through us—for worship, for all generations, for growing faith, for fellowship, and for our city and beyond. Today, I look around our renewed campus and see those dreams taking shape in living color.

We worship in a sanctuary that draws us into God’s presence with beauty and excellence. Our children and students are learning and growing in spaces designed with them in mind. Groups gather in welcoming rooms that foster fellowship and discipleship. And through our mission partners, the impact of your generosity is felt in tangible ways across Atlanta and around the world.

This is a moment to celebrate. It would not have been possible without your faith, generosity, and prayers. Thank you to every person who pledged, who gave sacrificially, and who believed that this vision was worth pursuing. You have honored the past and invested in the future, taking up the mantle of those who came before us and stewarding this church’s mission not just for today, but for years to come.

As we close out this campaign, we do so with gratitude and great hope. There is just $500,000 left to secure before we complete this journey together. I invite you to help us finish strong, so that we may fully realize the vision of Renewing the Promise.

We began this campaign with the words of Acts 2:39: “The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” Those words remain true today. This campaign has been about more than buildings. It has been about shaping the gospel promise with the next generation and positioning Peachtree as be a movement of grace and Spirit for years to come.

I am profoundly grateful to God for giving us this moment in time, and full of anticipation for what he will do next. May we continue to walk forward in faith, carrying the promise of Christ into a bright future together.

With gratitude and joy in Christ,

The Sanctuary

Our beloved Sanctuary has been refreshed with thoughtful enhancements that create a more welcoming and connected worship experience, including a streamlined chancel, curved front seating, new pews, flooring, and improved seating configurations. These updates, along with upgraded audiovisual systems, climate control, and the preserved beauty of the Ascension Window, bring greater comfort, clarity, and a renewed sense of space for all who gather.

Family Commons

Family Commons now gives visitors a warm and welcoming first impression, showing families how much we cherish them. The enhanced space includes new security cameras and access control, as well as a brand-new indoor playground for children to safely enjoy.

Children’s Ministry

At the heart of the Renewing the Promise campaign is a commitment to reach the next generation, now realized through updated spaces that make families feel welcomed and prioritized. All of our Elementary children’s programs have been renovated—Kindergarten’s Tool Time with a new worship space and six breakout rooms, and Elementary and 45 with refreshed worship areas and breakout rooms designed to inspire, delight, and grow our children’s faith.

Children’s Library

At the top of the Family Commons, a new gathering space now provides reading nooks, cozy areas for families to connect, and a welcoming spot for quiet moments with children. The space features a library of children’s classics and faith-based books, a volunteer check-in area for Sunday Morning Elementary leaders, and serves as a friendly meet-up spot for visitors to the church.

RENEWING THE PROMISE MISSION FUNDS IN ACTION:

Kids2Leaders

Founded in 1999, Kidz2Leaders exists to provide stability and opportunity within a Christian community for children of inmates to break the cycle of incarceration. Kidz2Leaders partnered with the University of Notre Dame’s Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) to evaluate impact and strengthen programs, leading to a plan to double campers, expand sustainable initiatives, and deepen discipleship. In 2021, they served just over 300 children and family members annually with a $700,000 budget; today—thanks in part to the generous support of Peachtree Church—they serve 800 children and family members each year, supported by a growing volunteer base, and raised nearly $1.5 million in their most recent fiscal year.

The growth that Kidz2Leaders has experienced since Peachtree Church became involved has been remarkable, and we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the community that has rallied behind us and our kids. Together, we are changing the trajectory of the lives of children of the incarcerated. It is a joy to see how the Lord works through his church, and a privilege to play even a small role in that story. Thank you for your commitment and sacrificial giving!

LaAmistad

LaAmistad was founded in Atlanta in 2001 to provide exceptional educational and lifeenrichment services to Latino children and families. Today, the organization offers a holistic program including after-school tutoring, parent education, English for Successful Living classes, and summer enrichment activities. Peachtree Church has been a cornerstone in LaAmistad’s journey, hosting the organization’s very first offices and headquarters. As LaAmistad grew, the need for a new office space arose, which Peachtree helped to identify near the church. To support continued growth, Peachtree committed to providing office rental assistance and renovation funds for three years. The church also remains one of LaAmistad’s after-school program sites, where students and tutors benefit from newly renovated classrooms equipped with enhanced technology.

We are deeply grateful to Peachtree Church for the generous support and partnership that made our new offices and the new children’s spaces possible. The children’s space improvements have significantly enhanced our after-school programming, allowing us to serve more students with greater efficiency and joy. Thank you for investing in our mission to prepare Latino students and families for success through academic and life enrichment programs.

Giving Update

Our fundraising partner, Coxe Curry & Associates, provided a detailed review of Peachtree Church’s past giving records to create our Range of Gifts Chart. Over the past three years, we have seen our congregation go above and beyond their annual gifts and tithes to the church to make a gift to the Renewing the Promise campaign. We are grateful for the generosity shown by each family as we give towards the $50 million goal.

Wonderfully Made

Wonderfully Made is a day program at Peachtree Church where adults with intellectual disabilities—our beloved Wonder Makers—experience the joy of belonging. In a world that too often leaves them isolated, we create a place of friendship, faith, and purpose. What started as a calling by the Lord to Kitty Correll, Wonderfully Made, is growing into a flourishing ministry. Today, Wonderfully Made is led by a dedicated staff team and uplifted by more than 80 faithful volunteers, all committed to ensuring Wonder Makers are seen, valued, and loved. With the generous support of donors like Peachtree Church, we’ve been able to hire staff, strengthen daily programming, and expand opportunities for Wonder Makers to live fully into the truth that they are wonderfully made.

I love helping people like the science and art teachers, as well as Nome in the bakery. It makes me so happy to be at the Lodge, and now I get to work at Steeple Coffee on Wednesdays. I love being a part of Wonderfully Made and the Peachtree Church community.

Forman Christian College

Forman Christian College (FCCU) was founded in 1864 with a vision to educate the people of the surrounding region of Pakistan and to contribute to their academic, economic, and social development. Today, nearly 9,000 students are enrolled at Forman. The Chapel on the FCCU campus has held a special place in the hearts of the Pakistani Christian community for over 70 years. It serves three congregations, the University Christian Life Program (similar to an InterVarsity chapter), weekly campus chapel services, Bible study for campus Christian staff, as well as weddings and memorial services. Showing its age and lacking accommodations for those with mobility challenges, the chapel is in need of renovation. Peachtree Church is providing seed funding for a redesign that will expand the worship space to seat approximately 100 congregants, update age-related repairs, and modernize sound, lighting, video, and HVAC systems.

We are exceedingly grateful for the generosity of the Peachtree congregation, which will allow a complete renovation of this historic and vitally important worship space on the Forman campus.

Guatemala

Kids Alive International has been ministering to children in Guatemala for nearly three decades, focusing on the restoration of those who have suffered sexual abuse. Through protective care and justice advocacy programs—including therapy, social services, and legal support—children find hope, healing, and faith. In 2019, Peachtree was instrumental in launching the Escuintla Justice Center. The center provides Christian counseling, social services, and legal representation for child victims of sexual violence, combining healing justice with biblical trauma therapy. The need for this vital ministry was great and the program had reached capacity. Peachtree Church provided funding to expand the staff and programs—doubling the team working at the Escuintla Justice Center.

Peachtree Church’s generosity through Renewing the Promise has doubled the impact of the Escuintla Justice Center. After Renewing the Promise funded a team expansion in 2024, the center achieved a 70% conviction rate and handled 10% of Guatemala’s total sexual abuse convictions involving child pregnancy. This success led to the formation of a survivors’ network (with Guatemala requesting five more groups) and a Guatemalan Supreme Court invitation to help improve courts nationwide. The Justice Center model has since expanded to Peru with new initiatives launching in Zambia and Kenya—all based on Peachtree’s generosity to Kids Alive in Guatemala.

Egypt

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) in Gerga, Egypt, was established in 1926 by an American missionary. Since its founding, the church has grown into a center of faith and service—providing a place of worship, ministries for children and youth, visitation and care for members and the community, training for Christian leaders, and community service programs that extend Christ’s love beyond its walls. After nearly a century of use, the church building reached a point where it is no longer safe for worship or ministry. An earlier attempt at restoration, 20 years ago, was not enough to prevent the structural issues that continued to worsen over time. Because of these ongoing challenges, the church received approval for demolition and rebuilding of both facilities—the worship sanctuary and the pastor’s residence/administrative offices. Peachtree prayerfully committed funds to support the construction of the new church, ensuring that future generations will have a safe and welcoming place to gather, worship, and serve.

This project was beyond our modest local resources, but through the generous partnership with Peachtree Church we are able to make this project come to fruition. With gratitude, respect, and appreciation as we are all one body in Christ.

Staff Office

The new two-story staff offices bring all team members together in one unified location, featuring workstations, breakout rooms, and staff gathering areas. This renovated space highlights an exposed brick wall from the original 1950s Sanctuary exterior, blending history with modern functionality.

Williams Center & STEEPLE COFFEE

The Williams Center has been expanded to include a new coffee bar, Steeple Coffee, and additional gathering spaces for congregants and staff, now filled with natural light streaming from one end of the room to the other. This beautiful, updated space fosters a greater sense of belonging and strengthens relationships within the church community.

Student Ministry

The student gathering spaces in the Lodge have been fully updated, with firstfloor rooms refreshed and leveled to provide 678, our Middle School ministry, with new breakout spaces. The second floor has been optimized for High School students, featuring a new gathering area with breakout rooms and games for students and their small group leaders.

Green Space

The Wilson Circle has been transformed into Peachtree’s first outdoor community gathering space, including a pedestrian-friendly lawn, new landscaping that highlights our beloved magnolia trees, and a lower terrace with tables extending from Steeple Coffee. The space, complete with an ADA-compliant ramp and entrance at the front of the Sanctuary, is already hosting events such as Light Up Peachtree, providing a beautiful new setting for celebrations and fellowship.
