SERMON OUTLINE

THE RESULT: A NEW WAY TO LIVE

Psalm 15

• Sept 7 – The Goal: Dwelling in Unity – Psalm 133

• Sept 14 – The Problem: A Lack of Trust – Psalm 55

• Sept 21 – The Solution: The Lord is Good – Psalm 34

• Sept 28 – The Result: A New Way to Live – Psalm 15

The Reminder: Life is different when you dwell in God’s presence.

1. Do what is right, not just what you want.

The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous… (v. 2)

2. Say what is true, not just what supports your side.

…who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor. (v. 2-3)

3. Keep what you promise, not what is convenient.

…who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind. (v. 4)

4. Give what will help, not what gets you ahead.

Who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. (v. 5)

The Good News

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.

15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. – Hebrews 4:14-16

The Promise

Whoever does these things will never be shaken. (v. 5)

Daily Dwell: September 28-October 4

“…Whoever does these things will never be shaken.” - Psalm 15:5

STUDENT SPONSORSHIPS

In Malawi, the government provides free education through primary school. If a child wishes to go to high school or further in education, they must pay those fees themselves.

In the Chitipa District, the annual income for a family is $500 a year; a year of high school costs $400, tech school costs $1,000, and college costs $2,500.
