Not So Scary Halloween Tales:

Presented by Southern Crescent Storytellers (Ages 6-12)

Friday, October 18th @ 4pm —Storytime Room

Join the Southern Crescent Storytellers as they present Not So Scary Halloween Tales. Presenters include Vern Bailey, Neal Peeples, Marcia Robertson, and Bonnie Sitz. Everyone is encouraged to wear their costume. This is a free, drop-in event. No registration required.

Baby and Toddler Time @ the Library

Thursdays, October 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st

CAREing Paws, Come Read to a Dog (Waitlist Only)

Saturdays, October 12th & 26th @ 10:30am

The CAREing Paws Program utilizes registered therapy dogs to improve literacy skills for children. Children must have a basic knowledge of reading. Open to children in 1st-5th Grade.

The library offers six 20 minute slots. Parents must reserve a time slot in advance for their child. Children may bring a book or choose a book at the library.

Pokémon League (Ages 6+)

Thursdays, October 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th @ 5:00-6:30pm —Storytime Room

No Pokémon October 31st

NOTE: All ages are welcome, but be advised this event primarily supports younger players (ages 6-13). Please keep in mind, parents of elementary age children must be nearby at all times. Parents of older children are also advised to stay in the library.

Children are strongly recommended to bring one of the following to participate:

- Smartphone / tablet for Pokémon Go

- a Nintendo Switch to play Pokémon games

- Pokémon trading cards for trading or battling

DISCLAIMER: While not a frequent occurrence, theft of Pokémon cards has happened in the past. Parents must now sign a weekly Pokémon Theft Acknowledgement Waiver before dropping children off. Players 13yrs or older may sign their own form. This paperwork outlines the responsibilities of children, parents and players to watch their own belongings so they will not be stolen. It is also recommended to label ALL of your child’s Pokémon belongings and toys before arriving to deter the possibility of theft or lost items.

Story Stroll: Daniel’s Good Day @ Picnic Park

Friday, October 4th ~ Sunday, October 20th

Peachtree City Library hosts a Story Stroll @ Picnic Park. Story Strolls are a fun way to utilize outdoor programming and engage your local community. This family activity combines literacy, exercise, and nature. Enjoy Daniel’s Good Day as you stroll around the Pavilion @ Picnic Park.
