Your Impact
on Cancer Care at PeaceHealth United General
Exceptional care close to home

For residents of Skagit County and surrounding areas, there’s great peace of mind in knowing that exceptional cancer care is never far away. And that care comes from PeaceHealth United General, because of you. In our every effort to provide the best possible care for our loved ones, friends and neighbors, your generosity helps pave the way. Thank you.
The incredible outpouring of community support for our recent Keeping Cancer Care Close to Home campaign is but one more shining example of how you are accelerating advancements in medicine for the benefit of us all.
Together, we’re helping patients fight — and win — their battle against such a deadly disease. Together, we’re ensuring expert cancer care for anyone who turns to us, regardless of ability to pay. The impact you have on our community is truly transformative — and we are beyond grateful for your lifesaving generosity.
Thank you for investing in a healthy future.
Tami Gilbert, Clinical Manager of OncologyIt’s true. Your generosity is the very heart of everything we do to innovate and elevate the best possible cancer care at PeaceHealth United General. Thanks to you, we’ve reached 81% of our $1 million fundraising goal for our Keeping Cancer Care Close to Home campaign!
This means we’re on the final stretch in our efforts to purchase an advanced linear accelerator (LINAC) to meet the growing demand for outstanding cancer treatment in our community. Your incredible philanthropic support is what allows us to move ahead with these ambitious plans that will make United General home to the LINAC Varian True-Beam device — the most advanced radiation therapy available today for cancer patients.
Acquiring a new linear accelerator will help:
> Every month, United General’s Cancer Center treats 150-200 patients and our numbers are growing.
> In the last four years, patient treatment rates for medical oncology increased by 59%
> Treat the most challenging cancer cases with speed and precision.
> Enable more tailored treatments for each patient’s unique condition.
> Keep expert care close to home for all, including those in our most remote communities.
> Charitable giving is key to helping us increase capacity, expand services and upgrade equipment.
Your support truly makes a difference in the lives of others, thank you!
