Cath Lab Two Replacement and New Electric Stretchers

Cardiac catheterization, also known as cardiac cath or heart catheterization, is a medical procedure used to diagnose and treat some heart conditions. It lets doctors take a close look at the heart to identify problems and to perform other tests or procedures.

Recently, philanthropy helped PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center complete a $4 million renovation to one of our six cardiac cathetarization labs. Generous contributions to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center Foundation assisted with the replacement of Cardiac Cath Lab Two. The new Cath Lab incorporates state-of-the-art digital imaging technology to ensure that our physicians have access to the very best image quality available during these critical procedures. The new equipment features improved radiation dose reduction technology designed to minimize patient and caregiver radiation exposure.

Thanks to donors like you, the Foundation also provided new cardiac prep and recovery stretchers that are more comfortable for patients and help to reduce caregiver injuries.

We are very grateful to you for helping us offer life-saving cardiac care to our community.

The nurses were really amazing during my stay. I really appreciated the continuity of care at night with my RN, James. He made my transition out of surgery much more bearable. I can’t say enough about the quality of these people. I’m grateful for their service.
