The Exchange Sept/Oct 2021

STATISTICS In 2021, the Columbia River ports have seen an expansion of container services to go along with our steady flow of vessel movement. Ports up and down the West Coast are handling record breaking cargo volume, with the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach regularly setting new records for number of waiting vessels and number of boxes handled. In order to break through the backlog, container lines are increasingly diverting cargo to other West Coast ports. The intermodal transportation system of the Columbia River stands ready to assist and looks forward to the future as we safely and efficiently move cargo along our waterway!
