First, we are very proud and thankful for the continuous support from all our repeat buyers and look forward to establishing a lasting relationship with new buyers. Second, we would like to send out a huge thanks to our guest consigner Bar H Charolais. Our family is looking forward to experiencing the new offerings you will bring on sale day. We would like to extend a thank you to our previous consigner, DRD Charolais. It has been a pleasure doing business with you.

On our farm, located at Moosomin Lake, we calve out 350 Simmental/Red Angus and straight Red Angus cows. Maximizing on those top-notch tan calves, we are starting to calve the Full French cows through January, February and March, and the commercial cows have been backed off, starting the first week of March. Splitting this calving has made the process a little more manageable and allows us to do a better job on the end product.

In addition to farming, we raise three sons, Trae (15), Kohl (14) and Vahn (11). While these three can often be seen helping on the farm and learning what it takes to raise your own food, both grain and cattle, they are also busy chasing some of their own passions. They are hockey players, snowmobilers, dirt-bikers, ball players and have a love of watersport, especially tubing and wake-boarding. They keep us busy for sure! Pam is a Consultant for the South East Cornerstone Public School Division and has always had a passion for Education. While not working in schools, she is busy making miles with these boys! We are firm believers that at one time or another, each family member must roll up the sleeves and pitch in on the family farm. This is one way to honor the hard work and dedication that once began with grandpa and grandpa (Murray and Louise Stephen).

During our regular breeding season with the commercial herd, I am able to test out different bulls and bloodlines I have acquired. We aim to get the biggest bang for our buck! when I am breeding Full French cows, I am always taking into consideration what I think most people’s herds consist of. When looking at my Full French herd it is easy to see the added value of crossing these heavy muscled bulls with your own animals. Full French breeding also adds big, tan, soggy, haired-up calves that the buyers fight over.

With using these crosses, the polled gene is so prominent in these Angus and Simmental cows that there are next to no horns presenting themselves anymore. So, to me, it’s a no-brainer for the extra pounds and hair you gain by using Full French bulls. I have been in this business since 2007 and cannot believe the positive change in my overall herd weights. We take great pride in our animals. They will be clean and tidy on sale day. If you purchase a bull and you are not completely satisfied, please talk with me about it so I can make it right. It is important that we carry on in a respectful and friendly business relationship. TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable immediately after the sale in Canadian funds. All settlements must be made with the sale clerks before cattle will be released. The right of property will not pass until final payment is made.

BIDDING: Each animal will sell to the highest bidder. Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone their bids and instructions to the sale manager, auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.

DISPUTES: Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision is final.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are cautioned to pay close attention to announcements.

PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. All animals left with the seller must be insured.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer after payment has been made.

DELIVERY: Assistance will be given in making delivery after the sale. The purchaser agrees shipping arrangements will be at the convenience of the seller, but will be as soon as practical after the sale, at the buyer’s risk.

BREEDER GUARANTEE: Should any bull fourteen months of age or over, fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six months following

the date of purchase or six months after the bull has reached fourteen months of age. The seller has the right and privilege of six months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.

EXCEPTION GUARANTEE: In the case where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproductive techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void. The seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold or for sickness not apparent at sale time.
