Welcome to our sale… Maple Leaf Charolais (George) imported some of the first Full French heifers from France in 1965, and continued to import each year until 1974. Full French bulls have been used on the farm since 1966. In 2002 Maple Leaf Charolais raised and sold the first Polled Full French animal in Canada. In 2005, we traveled to France and toured bull and female stations and visited farms. We learned a great deal about their testing and the data collection that we have relied on to select new sires when adding to our program. When we were there, we saw a bull that we thought could really add to our program, he was Pinay. We raised the calving ease specialist 8136U that we used on our heifers and then sold this spring in our sale. We have been striving to produce top quality animals for both the commercial and purebred industries, in hopes of providing long-lasting, low maintenance and high yielding additions to their herds. At Maple Leaf Charolais, it is important that our animals have a gentle disposition. We realize that most breeders can appreciate the benefits attached to having animals they can work with. Having quiet cattle on the farm, and passing on the same to our buyer’s is not just our constant mission, it is a tradition and legacy! We believe that our new herd sires add all this and more for our customers. Reward is doing an outstanding job for us, this cow family has year after year been giving us quality animals with outstanding dispositions and Reward is passing this to his progeny. Major 52X’s first progeny for us are on the ground this year and all look promising. In our sale in 2012, we sold 1/3 share of him to Bar Punch Ranch and 1/3 to XXX Farms. Some of the heifers in the sale are bred to a maternal brother of 52X, sired by 8136U (Pinay). We know he is going to be a very good heifer bull, like his dad. We believe the females we are offering this fall are all top quality and well mannered. They will make valuable contributions to your herd. We would like to express our thanks to all our past bidders and buyers for their support. If you would like to view the cattle before sale time, please give us a call anytime and come for a visit.
