The soundtrack, of the 70’s. A great decade, for me. Music across, a broad spectrum. From soft, to wild and free. Some mellow singles, early on. “Torn, Between Two Lovers.” “Killing Me Softly with His Song” plus “Let’s Stay Together.” Great dancing tunes, came along. “Le Freak” and “I Will Survive.” “The Dancing Queen.” “Crocodile Rock.” The Bee Gees. “Stayin’ Alive.” From Broadway shows, and movies. “Theme from Shaft.” “Candy Man.” “You Light Up My Life.” Frankie’s, “Grease.” “Star Wars/Cantina Band.” Classics. “Stairway to Heaven.” Bruce Springsteen’s, “Born to Run.” “Hotel California,” “Sir Duke,” and Paul’s, “Band on the Run.” Of course, “I’m Your Boogie Man.” From KC’s, sunshine world. “Sultans of Swing.” “I’ll Take You There.” “Car Wash.” “Hot Stuff/Bad Girls.” I could go on, forever. There are, so many more. But albums, must be mentioned too. Start with, “Led Zeppelin IV.” Carpenters’, “A Song for You.” Santana’s, “Abraxas.” “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.” George, with “All Things Must Pass.” “Tapestry,” by Carole King. Taylor’s, “Sweet Baby James.” “Running on Empty.” Jackson Browne. These three, were so acclaimed. “4 Way Street.” Decade’s icons. Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. “Songs in the Key of Life,” broke ground. With Stevie, having fun. Crossover artists, scored big. “Gambler.” Kenny Rogers. Willie Nelson’s, moving “Stardust.” “Evening with John Denver.” Blown away, by “Off the Wall.” Michael Jackson. Pure gold. Rocked to, “Boston.” “Bad Company.” Chilled out, with Billy Joel. And when, the decade ended. The music, stayed in me. Those 70’s sounds, and lyrics. Were more, than memories.
