My 90’s Songs and Albums

The 90’s, might be summed up. Garth Brooks. Shania Twain. These two singers, had such impact. My music focus, changed.

Country music, evolving. It was, so fresh and bold. “Come on Over/Black Eyes, Blue Tears.” “No Fences/Thunder Rolls.”

Billy Ray, with “Some Gave All.” Twain’s, “The Woman in Me.” “Wide Open Spaces.” Dixie Chicks. Faith Hill’s, top album “Breathe.”

There came along, some new styles. “Crash,” by Dave Mathews Band. Nirvana’s, “Nevermind” on fire. Won over, many fans.

Boy’s II Men, broke new ground with “Cooleyhighharmony.” Sweet: “Christina Aguilera.” Hot: “Mariah Carey.”

“Yourself or Someone Like You.” Matchbox 20’s, debut. Britney’s song, “Baby One More Time.” LeAnn Rimes’s album, “Blue.”

“Cracked Rear View.” A new approach. Hootie and the Blowfish. “Unplugged.” MTV and Clapton. Fulfilled, a secret wish.

Dolly wrote it. Whitney sang. “I Will Always Love You.” Santana, featured Rob Thomas. Blending together, “Smooth.”

Soundtracks: “Waiting to Exhale.” “Forrest Gump.” “Pure Country.” Celine sings, “My Heart Will Go On.” Song, big as the movie.

Surprise: “Hell Freezes Over.” Eagles, reunion treat. Bonnie Raitt’s, “Luck of the Draw.” Winning, several Grammys.

“Wannabe,” by the Spice Girls. They pranced, and had a ball. Beyoncé, with Destiny’s Child. “The Writing’s on the Wall.”

Sheryl Crow’s, “Run Baby Run.” “Secrets.” Toni Braxton. “Janet.” Double album smash hit. Return, of Ms. Jackson

The 90’s ends four decades. My music history. From 1960. Forty years. It’s all, inside of me.
