Message from CEO Welcome In great news for our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services, the Department of Education and Training has awarded 19 PCYC Queensland OSHC services $1.9 million funding over the next three years under the Community Child Care Fund, Sustainability Support grant. PCYC Queensland has also successfully won the Bohlevale State School OSHC tender for the next nine years. In other funding news, PCYC Townsville’s Active Kids program has been awarded $42,000 by the Smith Family, and the Department of Transport and Main Roads has funded On Your Bike Road Safety at PCYC Mareeba for $8,624. Well done to all our clubs who held NAIDOC Week and Queensland Road Safety Week events across the state in July and August, it is wonderful to continue seeing the positive impacts of our local events and activities.

NAIDOC Week 2021 Well done to our many PCYC Queensland clubs and OSHC services across the state who held celebrations and events across NAIDOC Week, recognising the culture and heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples from 4-11 July 2021. PCYC Indigenous Programs led NAIDOC celebrations at Fitzgerald State School over two days, see Indigenous Community Sport and Recreation Officer Patrick Thaiday in action!
