Access and Control
ALTUSEN LCD KVM Switches provide three convenient methods to monitor, access, and control the devices on your installation: Port selection can be accomplished by pressing port selection pushbuttons directly on the switch; from a KVM console with hotkey combinations entered from the keyboard; or with a powerful menu driven OSD (On Screen Display) system. Depending on the model, station and port selectors with 7-segment LED displays are also available for fast and smooth switching to target computers.

User Experience
A number of features to provide an exceptional user experience for administrators have been incorporated into the LCD KVM Switches and LCD Consoles. For example, if using the touchpad is inconvenient, an external mouse port lets the administrator use an external mouse instead. Dedicated Invocation Keys reduce the number of keystrokes necessary to access important features, such as Hotkey and OSD modes, and helpful labels and intuitive, colorcoded icons on the switches make it easier and more efficient for administrators to perform their management operations.

Management Efficiency
ALTUSEN LCD KVM Switches feature a dynamic Auto Scan function which automatically switches among user selected ports at user specified intervals – allowing administrators to monitor their status without the bother of having to switch ports manually. Depending on the model, a Broadcast function is available that transmits the administrators keyboard and mouse input to all the available computers on the installation, instead of having to perform the same commands or clicks over and over again for each server.

Operation
The locking design used with the modules offers safer, more secure, more convenient operation of the switches by preventing them from sliding in and out at random – thereby eliminating potential accident situations. The design also ensures that the keyboard/touchpad module remains securely locked away in the housing when sliding the LCD module out. To tuck the LCD module away, simply rotate the cover down, release the safety catch, and slide the module into the housing.

Installation Options
Normal rack mounting of the ALTUSEN LCD KVM Switches and LCD Consoles is not difficult, but requires two people to accomplish the installation. To enable a single individual to easily and conveniently perform the installation, optional Single Person Easy Installation Rack Mount Kits are available to streamline the procedure.
