Sanguine cement in marbled veins eventually flows finding skipping pulse in chipped vibrations:

Clink,

tap-tap,

tap, clink,

…thump.

—the creative heartbeat yearning for appreciation since its first crack. Without this metal wedge driving, who’s to say my hands would fit together on their own? to say one day an earthquake will rumble, and I’ll already be lovingly prepared to crumble fully? Michelangelo stared for months at his chunk of stone, but I don’t mind if my artisan’s hands find their inspiration along the way.
