Honors and Awards National Medal of Science Rakesh Jain, the A. Werk Cook Professor of Radiation Oncology (Tumor Biology) at Massachusetts General Hospital Albert Lasker Basic Medical Research Award William Kaelin Jr., professor of medicine at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and senior physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, shared the award with Peter Radcliffe, University of Oxford/Francis Crick Institute, and Gregg Semenza, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Wolf Prize in Medicine C. Ronald Kahn, the Mary K. Iacocca Professor of Medicine and chief academic officer and senior investigator at Joslin Diabetes Center, was a co-recipient with Lewis Cantley of Weill Cornell Medical College National Academy of Sciences Two faculty members were elected: Myles Brown, professor of medicine and co-director of the Center for Functional Cancer Epigenetics at Dana-Farber Robert Kingston, professor of genetics and chief of the Department of Molecular Biology at Mass General National Academy of Inventors Two faculty members were elected: Donald Ingber, the Judah Folkman Professor of Vascular Biology in the Department of Surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital and founding director of the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering Guillermo Tearney, professor of pathology, a Mike and Sue Hazard Family MGH Research Scholar and a faculty member of the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Mass General 2016 March of Dimes and Richard B.
