GENERAL MANAGER BUDGET RATIFICATION, UPDATE ON PROJECTS & CELEBRATION

Dear Residents:

We have just completed the final stage in the Budget Process that began in February. As recommended by the Finance Committee and approved by the Board of Directors, the Fiscal Year 2 0 2 3 - 2 0 2 4 B u d g e t , i n c l u d i n g t h e Operating, Reserve and Capital Funds, was ratified at the Annual Budget Ratification Meeting on June 14.

The new budget included a quarterly assessment increase of $30 per quarter As there were no other changes (i.e., account number or payment location), the only adjustment you need to make is the amount. A total of $240 is due on the 1st of July, October, January and April.

If you normally receive a coupon book, you should have received a new book the week of June 19. If you have set up a monthly automatic debit to your bank account, please make sure that you change it to the new amount.

If you have any questions, please visit or call the Front Desk at 702-638-5000 or contact Carol Garbarino, Customer Service Coordinator, at 702-638-5023 or suncityaliante@fsrnevada.com.

Now, I would like to inform you about several projects that we have just completed or are currently working on to enhance the Common Areas and Community Center including:

• Pool area sauna – Replaced the sauna boards and back rests.

• Pool area – Repaired the pool actuator (ventilation system).

• Painting – Painted all of the door frames and several doors throughout the Community Center inside and outside with an attractive silver accent paint.

• Banquet chairs – Purchased 300 new banquet chairs that will be delivered in early October

• Air conditioning system – Working on quotes to replace the thermostat system throughout the Community Center

• Pool area – Scheduling repairs to the dehumidifier system in the pool area and repairing all of the door frames in the pool area.

• Roof – Working on quotes to repair the roof above the gym and pool area.

• Patio furniture – Replacing the fabric on the chairs and chaise lounges in the pool area which are currently under warranty.

• MicroShield 360 – For a third time, MicroShield 360 will be applied to all contact surfaces and touch points throughout the Community Center. The company said that after the spray was applied, it would not permit viruses to adhere to these surfaces.

I hope you had an opportunity to attend our fun-filled event on June 15 – celebrating Sun City Aliante being recognized by Community Association Institute (CAI) as the “Southern Nevada Outstanding Large Association of the Year” for 2022. This accomplishment was an unprecedented win for the fourth time in the last 5 years.

We were honored to receive this award in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022. In 2020, we were also be nominated for the award. We are so fortunate to have an amazing Board of Directors and an awesome team that made it possible to achieve such excellence.

I would be remiss if I did not thank Debbie Kent for organizing and executing an exciting celebration party – complete with a delicious catered menu, prizes galore, souvenirs, and a photo booth so everyone could take home a keepsake. It was a truly amazing, first-class event. Also, many thanks and my appreciation to the Front Desk and Maintenance teams and volunteers, who greeted everyone, set up and tore down equipment, and assisted in every imaginable way to help make this event so special.

Enjoy the July 4th holiday!

Damian Carrasco General Manager
