ถึงวันนี้ส่วนหนึ่งของนายโรงได้หลุดจากกับดักไปได้แล้ว ส่วนที่บ่งบอกมีดังนี้

• ผลส�ำเร็จ ผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของนักเรียนเฉลี่ย ๕ วิชาหลัก อยู่อันดับที่ ๖๒ ของประเทศ และวิชาภาษาอังกฤษอยูใ่ นอันดับ ๔ ของกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ ซึง่ จากเดิม เมื่อ ๕ ปีก่อน อยู่ในอันดับที่ต�่ำกว่า ๑๐๐

• นักเรียนทุกคนสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษได้ดี นอกเหนือที่เราเคยได้รับรางวัลปกติ อยูแ่ ล้ว อาทิเช่น แข่งขันทักษะภาษาอังกฤษในกลุ่มโรงเรียน EP อยู่ในระดับ TOP ๓ มาโดยตลอดและพบว่าความเป็น “SEMI INTERNATIONAL” ของโรงเรียนมัธยมวัดนายโรงเห็นเด่นชัด ไม่ว่าวัฒนธรรมการท�ำงานของครูไทยและ ครูนานาชาติที่กลมกลืน (United Harmony) แบบครูมืออาชีพ ยิ่งกว่านั้น โอกาสของผู้เรียนทุกคนได้แสดงทักษะ ความเป็นผูน้ ำ� ระดับโรงเรียนไปสูน่ านาชาติ ดังเช่น กิจกรรม NISC และมุง่ หน้าสูม่ าตรฐาน ๓ ภาษา ซึง่ แสดงว่าทุกคน ในองค์กรและผูท้ เี่ กีย่ วข้อง ต่างมุง่ มัน่ พัฒนาการจัดการศึกษาสูอ่ นาคต เน้นทักษะการเรียนจากการปฏิบตั ดิ ว้ ยพลังแห่งทีม เพื่อน�ำ “โรงเรียนมัธยมวัดนายโรง ก้าวน�ำสังคมไทย สู่ยุคไทยแลนด์ ๔.๐”

Principal Message

Until now, Nairong has already survived from the trap. These are presented as following :

1. The success : The learning achievement from 5 core subjects is on the 62nd of rank from national test and English subject is on the 4th school rank in Ministry of Education. 5 years ago, the rank was shown much lower than 100th.

2. All students can communicate in English well. We have always been a force to reckon with in EP English Competitions as we always take a place in the top 3. Being a SEMI – INTERNATIONAL school is outstanding. Not only are the cultures of Thai and foreigner teachers united as we work in harmony, but also all students show international leadership. One good example is the NISC and the standard of 3 languages progression. These show that everyone in our organization aim to develop the future of study. We focus on learning by doing and teamwork, and for Matthayomwatnairong to lead the Thai society to Thailand 4.0.

Since 2015, this activity has successfully been conducted for three times. And, we are looking forward to another one coming in the future.

The main theme of the conference is “A Better World in Our Hands” with the sub-themes, The Perfection of Biodiversity and Global Camaraderie, which brought all participants to set off to Chonburi province for a one – day trip of tour and outdoor activities.

The conference was held on 31 July – 4 August 2017 at Asia Hotel Bangkok, Rajthevee, Bangkok, Thailand. Moreover, the official language used in the conference is English. Also, there were a great number of activities in store for students, as well as for teachers, such as Keynote Speakers, Workshops and Plenary Sessions, Competitions, Cultural Show, Outdoor Activities, and Tour to join with academic purpose and entertaining atmosphere.

I’m Parnpailin Phuchayapol or Pear from M.5/1.I was an exchange student from 2015-2016 with YFU organization to the US.

I can say that my exchange year was the best year of my life. I went to the state of Ohio, which is in the Northeast of USA, for 10 months. It was not easy at first. I got homesick on the very first day. Everything was so different from Thailand. It took me a while to adjust myself to the society there. My first day at school was the worst.

I was so nervous and I was shy to speak English. Luckily, I joined the volleyball club and everybody in my team was so nice to me. That was a good start, I think.

My host family loves travelling. They even took me to New York and it was a great time. I also went to California for a week and I can say that California is so beautiful and I love it so much. I have tried many things which I’ve never done before. For instance, celebrating Halloween, walking to school during the snow, sledding, and the best thing was going to Cedar point which is the world’s best amusement park.

Lastly, I would like to say thank you to my parents, the school and YFU for supporting me in everything.

I was so excited to come to the USA, I had been dreaming about it for many years. Being an Exchange student for me is a dream come true.

I can do anything by myself. When there’s a problem no matter how difficult, I have to get through it as I learn new things, language, different culture, life, and adjusting to being away from family and friends. I shall survive. Sometimes we need to think outside the box, dare to try something new. The exchange year for me is a new beginning, new friends, new family, and of course what’s new isn’t familiar but I’ll do my very best. Although perhaps not like what I usually do, but it’s not bad at all. If I do anything wrong, I will think it as a lesson. When I step past any obstacle, one day, when I grow up I’ll look back at my life this year, and I will be proud of myself that I got through it. Nothing is too difficult if you try to do it, they say, and I won’t be afraid of what has not occurred. I won’t give up on the obstacles easily. It’s not a year in my life but it’s my life in a year.

an exchange student from Argentina. I’m 16 years old. My Thai nickname is Sam. I like swimming, playing volleyball and learning some sports; for example, there are badminton and Thai boxing.

I chose Thailand because Thailand has a different and an extraordinary culture compared to Argentina, with very nice people.

My host family is the Terasataporn and my host brother is Boss-Achiradech. I really like Thailand and I love my school. Thank you to this school for accepting me.

I’m Raphael Cannatà. I come from Gignod, a very small village in the north of Italy. I’m 17 years old and this is my first time in Asia, I have always wanted to go to Asia but because of the long trip I have never been. When I was old enough to be an exchange , I started looking for something very different from my country and my culture . Due to the beautiful place and different culture, I chose Thailand as my destination for my exchange year.

I’m going to stay here in Thailand for 10 months and I have a lot of expectations.

Today I’m going to share my experience about being an exchange student in another country For one year, I participated in YES program and I went to Czech Republic. Not many people know about this country so that’s why I fancied going to this country. The capital city of this country is Prague which is one of the Unesco Heritage sites. Czech Republic is an old country so it is full of old castles and lots of architecture in many styles of arts example is Renaissance, Baroque etc.

Czech Republic is also a country which produces quality beer and that‘s why people here love to celebrate and have parties. Another thing that Czech people enjoy is dancing. Most teenagers join classic dancing classes and in the end of the lesson, we had the dancing competition, it’s so fun!!! Going to Czech Republic is like opening my world, like I discovered a place, culture and people that is so amazing. I’m really happy about my exchage year.

In March 2016 I was just lying down on my bed and I got a phone call from my organization in Thailand that I got a host mother and she said “I will send you the information of the host mother and if you want to, you can email and talk to her.” So I sent her an email after that at that time I was so excited.

My host mother‘s name is Jay Heidel she has 2 dogs. She was an assistant principal and science teacher before. We talked via email since that day. The first day that I arrived at the airport in Wilmington, my host mom and my local coordinator were there and I remembered that she was really excited about my coming. Living with Jay was the best thing in my exchange year. She always took good care of me.

I love her so much like my real mother and I am her daughter. We always had a good time together.

The religion of most people in my country IS Buddhism so there is no way that we’re going to celebrate Christmas I mean like in the mall or the shopping center in Bangkok they do have the decoration for Christmas but we don’t have like the real celebration for Christmas we don’t exchange gift and we don’t have meal together with the family. For us Christmas day is just like any other day but it is a big thing for other people in other countries. On the winter break, Jay and I decided to go to Maryland where her brother and her relatives live. I love Maryland and on the Christmas Eve day everyone came to the house and we

talked, we ate together and we exchanged gifts.

I felt more like home on that day, I mean it felt like something that my family always does on holiday and every weekend, like we talked and we ate together.

Even though I don’t like to go out, actually I’m a home - person, but school is something that fulfilled my exchange year, I’ve met many good friends and teachers. School in the United States and school in Thailand are completely different but I like both. I went to Topsail High School, they put all the exchange student in senior even though I was supposed to be in sophomore, it is kind of challenging for me. The first semester, I took American history, PE, Spanish and math and I studied so hard for American history because I didn’t know anything about American history but it went well. The second semester, this semester which is now, I’m taking English, Art, Japanese (online class) and ceramics. I really like the ceramics class and the teacher is so cool. This year was like everything I thought it would be!

Exchange life Sziasztok, I’m Jirapha Jansanthia or Yam. I was an exchange student in Hungary with AFS intercultural program. Hungary uses Hungarian as an official language. It is a very difficult language. I tried so hard to learn. Evening I can’t speak Hungarian fluently but at least I can communicate.

During the exchange year, there were so many things that happened to me.

They made me scared, brave, crazy, happy, tired, and sad. I had a problem with my host family but finally we understood each other because we talked! So, talking is the key.

My expectation is completely different from the reality. I did lots of stupid things. I felt really tired from something that I didn’t know but I had to carry on.

My suggestion for the one who wants to be an exchange student is you need to ask yourself .why I want to be an exchange student?’, remember the answer because during the exchange year, you might ask yourself this question, don’t forget to complete them.

Last but not least, being an exchange student is not bad. It might have something really bad but of course there is something good, too! You have to learn to accept it. I believe that you can do it. Believe in yourself and have fun with your exchange year. :D

A Trip down Memory Lane in the US

The journey to the land of freedom started off as I walked past through the gate with my two heavy luggage. From Bangkok, Thailand to Haneda, Japan then, Wisconsin, United States of America. At that time, nothing excited me more than the anxiety that the luggage would be overweight or not. However, nothing can prevent me from this wonderful journey.

Flying through the cloud, across the oceans and mountains, many questions popped up in my head; how to get along with my host family? How to start the the conversation? What if they don’t understand my English?

The lesser hours of travel left, the more my heart increased. Being the type that loves adventure and new places, the excitement was overwhelming. This journey surely broke my travel record. About 8,614 miles and 24 hours to the other side of the world, the long flight ended and we landed in the land of freedom, the United States of America. Nothing was as solid as the excitement and anxiety combined. No word could really define those feelings, when things we had

only seen in movies were standing in front of us. The US flag was fluttering. We’re here, the US. It’s not a daydream, but the real adventure.

It’s spring with about 40 °F. Sleeping the first night under the pine tree would not be a good idea in this kind of weather.

But that’s not a big deal because of my lovely host family, Blazeks. Staying there with the awesome host family ignited the most adventurous journey to Illinois and Chicago, the cities near Wisconsin. It’s the breathtaking experiences, doing something I have never done before. We went to Lacrosse, the local sport in Wisconsin, and the baseball game played inside the huge stadium with cheering from a ton of people. We made branch fire for s’more with a little family party. All I could say was family time was the best.

Now here’s the fun part; attending classes with the US students at Kettle Moraines High school. We’re like the celebrities because all students looked at us. Although we’re strangers for them, they gave us a very warm welcome. Just only one class, I saw many productive skills

the US students have such as punctuality, confidence, and leadership. They had really impressed me. We impressed them too, with Thailand presentation prepared for this special occasion and the activities we enjoyed with them.

Most of all, I would like to thank my school, Matthayom Watnairong, and the Ministry of Education for giving me this great opportunity to explore the world and learn more about the people that are totally different from us in terms of lifestyles, traditions, and especially the way they live their lives. Another big thanks to KM global teachers and students for the warm welcome and all your support.

This journey really broadened my horizon and changed my way of thinking.

Time flew more quickly than I had ever thought. Farewell dinner was coming, implying that it’s time to say good bye. This adventure to the other side of the world was the first and the most memorable experience for me. What I have learnt is

Educational Field Trip in Poland

On March 11th – 20th in 2017, our teachers from Matthayom Watnairong School had the opportunity to have an Educational Field Trip in Poland. Poland is largely a flat country, with vast forests, myriad of lakes, endless cultivated farmlands, and picturesque villages. The country is bordering Germany to the west, the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the south, Ukraine and Belarus to the east, Baltic Sea to the north, and Lithuania and Russia to the northeast. Poland serves as an example in Europe and globally on how to modernize education to equip the next generation with good fundamental cognitive skills needed for 21st century jobs.

Our observations were spent in a kindergarten classroom at an International American School of Warsaw (IAS). IAS is the first private international school ever established in Poland in the post-Communist era (1989).

IAS incorporates the best methodologies and educational expertise from around the world. Administrators and teachers bring with them their knowledge of the educational standards in America, England, Ireland, Scotland, India, Poland, France, Germany, amongst other nations. The student body comprises over 40 different nationalities, ensuring cultural diversity and an environment of tolerance and harmony. The students have opportunities to act as leaders and helpers with particular responsibilities; all children are given a chance to participate and take part in class activities in a variety of ways.

Overall, we found this trip to be very interesting and informative. The educational field trip is very important for overall development of our teachers. It gave them the opportunity to learn from their own experiences in one of the best countries for education. MNR Students’ Life in Singapore

“The 3rd MNR Science and Mathematics Study Camp in Singapore” Project July 6th – 10th, 2017

After School of Science and Technology (SST) held exchange learning project at Matthayomwatnairong school, it was our turn to go to Singapore. That was a great experience.

School of Science and Technology (SST) is a specialized independent secondary school in Singapore. MNR students studied with SST students who were their buddies. They learnt together in their classroom. Moreover the school has CCA (Co-Curricular Activities) that is an integral part of the school curriculum like clubs; Sport and Games, Performing Arts, Clubs and Societies, and Uniformed Groups. The students will be their CCA for 3 years in this school and they are there because they love it.

Science Centre Singapore is a scientific institution in Singapore, specializing in the promotion of scientific and technological education for the general public. S.E.A. Aquarium is the world’s largest aquarium. It contains a lot of marine animals which you may not have seen before. Students learn about Ecology underwater world that contains in the large tanks (the size of a movie theater screen). The students can observe and even study many creatures

Garden by the Bay is a nature park in Singapore. The highlight was at night when we spent whole afternoon there, visiting there and seeing the whole nature park. The sky walk was fun to go on and see the view of the gardens. The light and music show was wonderful and was the best seen from the ground. That’s beautiful and meaning with Singaporean.

In addition, we went to Universal Studio Singapore (USS), River Cruise and Chinatown.

Those were interesting.

Singapore students are discipline and responsible. That’s clear, why Singaporeans are quality English speakers. English is the official language.

For education, the school focuses on the concept “Teach Less, Learn More” prepare to enter 21st Century. It changes various teaching methods such as Project Based Learning, collaborative learning, Student Engagement, Active Learning, Problem Solving etc. We can bring those methods and make it suitable for our classes. We hope and believe that if we, Thais, would imitate the good aspects of Singaporeas and make an identical version of being spirit-filled, Thailand will progress. Let’s do the best for ourselves.

8th SGGS International Students’ Conference (sisc)

Under the conference named “Global Citizen”, I went to Penang to attend the 8th St.George’s Girls School international students’ conference hoping to gain experience in a foreign country. I did not realise that eventually I would get more than that...

The first day of the conference was the ice-breaking day, eventhough it was just the first day it was fun already. There were games that bonded people from different countries, culture, and religions together by working as a team. During the five days That I attended the conference, There were plenary sessions and workshops that presented to us about being a global citizen, the global issues and more. I think that I gained a lot useful and knowledgeable information from those time and understood that to be a global citizen you have to put aside your grudges and interact with each other to make the world better.

In those five days from the 20th-24th May 2017 that I attended the conference, I did not only gained useful information but also got a lot of friends from different countries, races, culture, and religions.

By those activities, I think that I am one step closer to being a global citizen...Thanks to the conference!

On the heritage tour day. The first place we arrived at is St.Gorge Church. We took a lot of photo at the lawn outside the church then we start walking around, sight seeing and, there is a Chinese shrine that survived a bomb. The next thing we saw was an Indian temple in Little India shopping area next to the shopping area we arrived at Masjid Kapitan Keling. One of the most beautiful and important masjid in Penang. What we like the most was The Street art you can strolling around taking picture with beautiful and stylish painting on the wall.

The Teachers and personal development & Cultural Exchange of ASEAN Thai – Indonesia : CEATI 2017

To development English skills and to exchange ASEAN cultures according to policy of Matthayomwatnairong school based on English for Integrated Studies: EIS Thailand, two teachers of Matthayomwatnairong school and 14 teachers from many parts of Thailand went to Indonesia as an invitation from University of Jember, Indonesia. We were in Indonesia from 16 April to 15 May 2017 and our first experience was better than our expectation.

The beginning of this trip, we took about 12 hours from Bangkok, Thailand to the University of Jember, Indonesia.

It was a long time to travel but our tiredness put out immediately when we were given the warm welcome we have received. The first day at the university, they had a welcome party and scheduled about the activities that we would do for upcoming one month. There were a lot of activities in Jember that we did. We visited three secondary schools; SMK Negeri 4 Jember, SMA Negeri 1 Jember and SMA Negeri 2 Jember. Their education is like a mixed

This is the great trip Education at University of Jember. There are many universities we have not forgot. from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore attended to this conference. We had to use English language to present an abstract of our thesis to attendants after we have prepared hard. It was very good to improve our English skills.

The purposes of this club is to bring upper secondary students from Matthayomwatnairong School to help students at Phratumnuk Suankularb (primary school) improve their English Language skills through fun and knowledgeable activities.

Students carry out these activities every Friday from 15:30 to 16:30 p.m. The secondary school students do not only gain knowledge and experience but also learn soft skills. They will have the opportunity to acquire leadership and teaching skills through managing the classes and working as a team in problem solving. They learn that as students, they

too have a social responsibility in contributing towards the community in their own way. It was a challenge initiating this project in the year 2012. However, looking at the benefits gained by both primary and secondary students, we are working hard to ensure the sustainability of this project. I would like to thank the parents, teachers and Mr. Surapong Ngamsom, the principal of Matthayom Watnairong who always support students and let them do this activity. I would also like to especially thank the students who participated in this activity and sacrificed their time to help students at Phratumnuk Suankularb (primary school) from the first year until now. I am very proud of you. This year, I, as a representative of students, parents, and the school, have been honorably awarded a grateful medal of H.R.H. PRINCESS MAHA CHAKRI SIRINDHORN. This is such a royally graceful opportunity I have had in my entire life.

What I have felt, my impression, and experienced from teaching the primary students English throughout a year and a half is finding them lovely are naughty, because of their ages. I, was responsible for giving them knowledge in my own styles of teaching. Whenever they were not disciplined, bags of snacks always played a role to trap and attract their attention. And that worked very well in my class. Moreover, I truly call it a great opportunity that come into my life to be able to learn with all the kids at the school at the same time. They have got their English skills improved and enhanced, we got magnificent experience in leadership, pubic speaking, deep listening, being patient, and many more. One thing to warn, patience does matter. I would like to honestly thank Social Service Club for giving us a chance to join such an excellent activity.

Also, everyone must come and join us when you get the chance.

Kaimook From the beginning, I expected nothing from joining the Social Service club. But the club actually gave me a big lesson. The students I tought, they all hated english. I and my team had to think about how to make the student like english. So we created a game which we used in english to play.

By doing that, the students enjoy english now. We are so glad that we changed their attitude towards english. Although it is basic english but we strongly believe they will develop english skills. It was not only them who gained benefits but us too. We

gained teaching experiences and we develop our english skill.I think of a quote that say we give what we have. Thanks to the school and the teacher who supported this good activity. I hope you enjoyed our story and don’t forget to give what you have too! :) Prae Teamwork skill is what I’ve gained from this club. I need to prepare the lesson plan for each class. What’s more, I learned about people’s behaviors; undisciplined and obedient. These led me to having communicative skill with others using clear utterances and expressions to avoid having confusion. My students always pay attention for the presentation stage of teaching, but they still remember what I’ve taught and participate all activities I organized for them. Every time I teach in classes, I understand my teachers at school more and more that they have given us a lot of sacrifice even though students sometimes ignore what the teachers have taught.

Lastly, I know ages do not matter on making new friendship.

My experience from having had the chance to teach the children at Phra tamnuk Suankularb school if, it is impressive. Even if sometimes the kids are naughty or maybe running around the class but they still pay attention when we teach them.

Even if our lesson may be hard for them, they try to understand it. Occasionally, we play some games and make some activities with the kids to make them feel relaxed and not to be too serious. They enjoyed and loved it so much. Teaching them let us review what we’ve learned a lot. It’s such a great experience for me to know them and teach them.

This great experience gave me so much courage and leadership from organizing all activities for my students. Imagination and creativity always pop up in my brain and mind to come up with all games for them to enjoy playing. I’ve learned how to grab students’ attention, and to have a good classroom management technique. These make me and all students feel warm and satisfied with our more tight relationship.

Teaching methods, public speaking skill, grabbing attention, convincing skill, giving some positive reinforcement are what I’ve acquired from this club. I understand all kids’ behaviors more than I did in the past. Evem though they are sometimes disobedient, I still keep enjoying because of their ages and their loveliness that led to a great relationship between us.

Zygnus Doing this volunteer job for those students at the school allowed me to give them English knowledge. And having them improve their language skill is what I’m looking for. I’m so proud of myself when I am able to share what I’ve learned form classes to others or even outsiders and get to know more about students. Furthermore, there is one disabled student. Being deaf, it challenged me a lot, but I did it my best.

ศูนย์เทคโนโลยีโรงเรียนมัธยมวัดนายโรง ซึ่งท�ำหน้าที่สนับสนุนทางด้านเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร ได้ปรับปรุง และเปลี่ยนแปลงการให้บริการแก่ครูและนักเรียนเพื่อใช้ในการเรียนการสอน โดยจัดซื้อเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์โครมบุ๊ค (Chromebook) จ�ำนวน ๕๐ เครื่อง สามารถพับจอได้ ๓๖๐ องศา พร้อมทั้งรองรับระบบสัมผัส สามารถใช้งานเป็นแท็บเล็ตได้ในตัว ใช้ระบบปฎิบัติการ Chrome OS ของ Google ทีใ่ ช้แนวคิดทีว่ า่ ด้วย การเก็บข้อมูลทุกอย่างไว้ที่ Cloud สอดคล้องกับการจัดการเรียนการสอนของโรงเรียน นักเรียนสามารถใช้งานได้ที่ ห้อง Nr digital knowledge centre ในช่วงพักกลางวันและหลังเลิกเรียน

เมื่อวันที่ ๒๕ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๐ ดร.งามพิศ ลวากร รองผู้อ�ำนวยการส�ำนักงาน เขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษา เขต ๑ ตรวจเยี่ยมศูนย์สอบ ห้องคอมพิวเตอร์ โรงเรียนมัธยมวัดนายโรง ส�ำหรับการทดลองสอบครูวิทยาศาสตร์ – คณิตศาสตร์ ช่วงชั้นที่ ๓ รายภาค (ครั้งที่ ๒) “ระบบทดสอบมาตรฐานความรู้ออนไลน์ ด้วยระบบ TEPE Online” โดยใช้กลุ่มเป้าหมายเป็นนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมต้นท�ำการทดลองระบบ ผลการทดลองระบบเป็นไปด้วยความเรียบร้อยตามวัตถุประสงค์ ทั้งนี้มีผู้สังเกตการณ์ จาก ส�ำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขัน้ พืน้ ฐาน โรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบ โรงเรียนชิโนรสวิทยาลัย และสถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบังเข้าร่วมให้คำ� ปรึกษา
