Home page

R&I PEERS platform home page has two sections: 1. Section 1: GEP list and GEP’s indicators, values and thresholds. 2. Section 2: user authentication and registration.


User registration To register a new user, fill in the registration form (see the picture on the left) with required information. Mandatory fields are highlighted with the (*) symbol. If the registration process succeeds, the system will show a confirmation message (see the picture below).

New user accounts need to be approved by platform’s administrators. Administrators have also the permission to set users’ roles. If a user tries to login in to the platform before having the admin approval, the system will show this message:


Roles R&I PEERS platform have 4 users’ roles available: 1) Admin – platform administrator, can edit any content. Enables supervisor, manager roles and approves new accounts. 2) Supervisor – GEP administrator. Assigns manager roles and adds indicators, parameters and thresholds to his GEPs. Fills in surveys. Can be in charge of multiple GEPs. 3) Manager – visualizes surveys and fills in GEPs. Can be in charge of one GEP. 4) User – visualizes surveys. Users can have multiple roles. A user can be supervisor and manager.


Supervisor: menu Supervisor user menu: 1. Home – lands on platform homepage. Contains GEPs list, indicators and values. 2. Show Users – shows registered users list. Here users can assign and edit roles. 3. Manage GEP – contains GEPs management functions. 4. Survey – shows a list of filled surveys for each GEP.


Supervisor: show users

Clicking on Show User, supervisor will see a page containing a list of registered users. Section 1 contains a set of buttons that can be used to filter users by state/role (All, Users to approve, Managers, Supervisors, Administrators). Sections 2 contains a list of filtered users, and for each user a button to assign manager roles.

Clicking on Manage GEP, supervisor users will see a page containing a tab for each GEP is in charge of (1). Users can edit/add a description (2), add/delete supervisors (3), add/delete managers (4) for each GEP in the list. In Section 5, users can manage GEP’s indicators, delete them, add parameters and thresholds.


Supervisor: manage GEP – add description

Clicking on add description button, [Manage GEP – (2)], the platfom will show a dialog box in which description can be filled. Then click on SAVE to add the description.

Close or X button cancels the process. The saved text will be inserted in GEP’s tab. In the same way, user can edit GEP’s description.

Clicking on Add supervisor button, [Manage GEP – punto (3) e punto(4)] the platform will show up a dialog box to search for users. By inserting a keyword and clicking on Seach button, the platform will show the search results (2). For each user, the system will create an Add button (2). This button can be used to add the user to the GEP. By clicking on this button, the system will assign the supervisor role (3) and will update supervisors list (4). Only the supervisors added during the session can be deleted throught trash icon (5). In the same way, users can add manager roles.

Clicking on the Add indicator button, [Manage GEP – (5)] the system will show a dialog box to add indicators. Mandatory information to add indicators are: • Objectives’ category(1) • Objectives (2) • Indicator name(3) • Indicator type (4) (qualitative o quantitative) Clicking on Save button, the system will save the indicator. Close or X button cancels the process. Added indicator will be in GEP’s indicator list (5) in the GEP tab.

Supervisor: manage GEP – search indicator

Clicking on Search indicator button, [Manage GEP – (5)] a dialog box will appear containing all the indicators already added. The system will show name, objective and objective’s category of each indicator. Through Add to GEP button, users can add the specific indicator to the chosen GEP. The system will give a feedback about the adding (2), and the indicator will be inserted in the GEP’s indicator list.

For each GEP’s indicator, the system creates a tab to manage indicator’s information. Users can delete an indicator through this button (2) or add parameters (1). Users can choose already added parameters (3) or add new parameters via Add a new one! button (4). Each set of parameters is inserted in a list in the indicator’s tab as shown in (5).

There are two functions per each set of parameters: • Trash icon: to delete the set • Graph icon: to link thresholds Clicking on the Graph icon, the system will open a dialog box where there is a table to insert values the indicator needs to be in compliance with. The table is made of: • Row: combination of values of the chosen parameters • Column: thresholds to approve acceptable/non-acceptable values.


Supervisor: survey

Clicking on Survey menu button, supervisor user visualizes all the filled in surveys divided on the GEP reference basis. Only GEP supervisors can fill in the survey otherwise the survey can only be read.


Manager: il menù Manager user menu: 1. Home – lands on platform homepage. Contains GEPs list, indicators and values. 2. Survey – shows a list of filled surveys for each GEP. 3. Fill GEP – shows the GEP’s indicator list of its manager and allows to fill in the values.


Manager: survey

Clicking on Survey menu button, manager user visualizes all the filled in surveys divided on the GEP reference basis. Manager user can only read surveys.


Manager: fill GEP

Clicking on the Fill GEP menu button, the system shows the GEP indicator list and for each indicator, the set of parameters. Clicking on Edit (1), manager user can edit the value with the linked indicator.
