The Foundation is Working for You
The Waterman Communities Foundation operates as a separate entity, independent from Waterman Village, and is largely supported by Waterman Village residents like you and me. Monies raised by the Foundation go directly to helping our residents and employees. The Foundation’s funds are not a part of the finances of Waterman Village.
The Foundation has as part of its mission “to strive to enhance the lives and well-being of current and future residents and empower employees through education and training.” To achieve this, the Foundation looks to our residents for their generosity to help us meet the needs of the community and fulfill our mission.
Over the years, the Foundation has funded projects that have benefited both residents and employees. Notable projects include:
• Audio-Visual equipment, drapes and lighting for the Chapel
• An Intelect Transport Electrotherapy Machine for Outpatient Therapy
• A lift chair for the Lakeside pool
• Nature trail restorations
• Continuing education for Waterman Village Physical Therapists

We Are Community!
Waterman Village’s biggest asset is its people –our residents and our employees. We come from different places and different backgrounds, but we all have something in common. We care about each other, and we want the very best for our community to thrive.
As we look around our neighborhoods, there are opportunities to shape our community’s future. Maybe it’s more amenities, perhaps needed improvements or potential new services. These are worthy aspirations, and the Waterman Communities Foundation wants to help put them within our reach.

The New Endeavor
Now, as we look to the future, the Foundation wants to do more to support our residents and employees. To enable us to do this, the Foundation is implementing our Community in Action Campaign.
Our initial goal is to raise $500,000. These monies will become part of a professionally managed, permanent endowment which will provide a dependable, perpetual source of funding and spending power far into the future for the wellbeing and enjoyment of our community.
Who Benefits?
Waterman Village residents and employees will realize great satisfaction and educational rewards from funds raised. Your contribution to the endowment can directly support areas and projects of interest and importance to you, along with needed assistance for our employees. Plans that can potentially add value to the community are . . .
• Resident Service Enhancements such as additional outdoor charging stations.
• Recreational Opportunities like a putting/ chipping green for our resident golf enthusiasts.
• Employee Training Options, for instance, English language classes for staff and additional certifications for our physical therapists.
• Community Appreciation Programs, for example, a “Thank You” meal for our first responders.
These are just a few “possible undertakings” your Foundation can entertain. But know there can be many more, and we need your help to do this. Contribute your dollars and your ideas for a stronger community!
Why Should I Give?

When we give from our hearts, we get that comforting sensation knowing we are helping others. Our residents’ compassion for one another and our “employee family” holds the power to drive meaningful and lasting positive change. With your contribution, you can be part of helping us provide solutions for the amenity enhancements beneficial to our residents. You can play a role in the vision for our future. Your gift is an investment in our community where Waterman Village can continue to be a wonderful place to live, play and work.
Never underestimate the difference you can make in the lives of others. Step forward, reach out and help.
