2.17 LIBRARY

The library of IIC was established in 1962. The library has six cubicles which are rented out to the members for quite reading. An area of 458 sq.m is provided for the library. One of the side of the library is fully glazed, which gives sufficient light and a good view of the entrance porch and the central court. At the entrance of the library, a separate reading room for newspaper and periodicals is provided. Reception cum issue and deposit counter on the entrance is provided.

For use of delegates and members only, it houses about 32,000 volumes of books and periodicals mostly on social sciences, history, biography, literature and arts.
