Life is full of exciting experiences for us to enjoy. However, these experiences are meant to teach life lessons that should remain with us. In my 17 years of living, I have had many lessons to be learned from events I have gone through. One of those lessons sticks out above the rest and it has a humorous story to go along with it. The story starts out with the group planning a get together while eating breakfast at Mcdonald's. Ideas were flowing out of our heads like a river. We could not agree on a plan of action for the longest time. Finally, it was decided that we should go to Kenzie's house after she said her dad would cook for us. I was immediately down for that idea because I knew her dad makes the best chicken wings ever. The rest of the day for me was spent thinking about what to wear that night. Eventually, the time came for heading over to Kenzie's house. Bailey, another girl in the group, asked me to give her a ride since she did not have her driver's license. Because of this, we were one of the last ones to make it to Kenzie's. In the time that we missed the group decided that they wanted to go and toilet paper some of our friend's houses that lived close to Kenzie. I had never done something like this before. Technology, education, health, eating habits, dress– there is hardly anything in life that is not changing, some changes we like, while others create fear and anxiety. Several predictions were made that the world will end in 2012 based on the rollover of the Mayan calendar but all these forecasting were proved to be fictitious. On the contrary we are living in the 21st century, 2025 and the world has changed tremendously in the last 13 years. As we live our everyday lives peacefully, we tend not to think what our mission or purpose in life is. Instead, we think what we must do for that to be a "successful" person. The Value of Life Many people may have different views on the value of life. My ideas fit into the movie strongly because i believe that one man can change many lives. A human's life should not have a value, but a bad experience may force us to put a dollar value to someone. A small life experience may change someone's life to a complete 180 and start headed back to the beginning. No income or status should put a value to a person in no circumstance. These ideas are at the heart of existentialism, which is a view of life that says that human beings are the creators of their own sense of meaning or purpose. Life. One minute it is there, the next it is gone. This is the cycle of life. You are born, you have many experiences that shape who you are, and then you die. You may die as a result of your life experiences. But no matter what you do, you will always die. No matter how safe you play, how hard you work. You will die. What is the Good Life Essay A popular saying is "live life in the moment." People believe that by doing this, they will live life to their fullest potential, and this will lead to the good life. This is a good theory, but it is not actually a good idea to life live this way. This is shown by both Herodotus, The History the story of Solon and Croesus, and by the Mike Webster Sports Injury series by Greg Garber. In both of the texts, the fictional Croesus, and the real life Mike Webster both lived their lives "in the moment," and they actually provide the most significant horrible warnings to show what is not the good life. By living in the moment, neither of these two actually thought about the future while they were living their good lives. If they had thought about the future, and the repercussions that could happen if their way of life was ended, then they may have been able to avoid the inevitable fall that both of them faced. Webster and Croesus both lived the good life for a time, and through both of their stories, we can see that to truly have lived the good life, one must die living it. While both Webster and Croesus undergo very similar crucibles, there are a few distinct differences between the texts that complement each other, so by understanding one of the texts more clearly, the other can be better understood, which in turn, leads to a better understanding of the good life. My Life
I was born in San Jose, Costa Rica, and moved to California when I was very young. Before I moved to California my dad traveled back and forth for 2 or 3 yrs from California and back to Costa Rica. He spent most of his time working in the Fresno area, in the cities of Tulare, and Visalia. He says he spent his time working in any available job including some farm labor jobs and went back to Costa Rica to spend time with us. After the second time he left Costa Rica to come and work he did not go back. At that time, amnesty was given to immigrants in California, and he moved up north to the Bay area to find a steady job. I was in ESL programs until I entered junior high school. Learning the language, and trying to keep up with the class work was a challenge for me. Having friends who spoke my language, and the English language as well was an advantage I had. Having that extra help and support really made my school experience challenging, but exciting as well. Remembering the support I received from those friends creates a need in me to do the same for other people. I don't only believe that the support that I can give to migrant students as a Mini–Corps student will help them in succeeding in school, but I believe that an appreciation for school can be gained as well, and hopefully bring insight for continuing their studies beyond high school. As I improved in my English I also grew an interest in writing. I enjoyed my English classes, along with my math classes too. My interest grew and grew, and I joined summer girl programs. After participating two year, I became a mentor to those new peers coming into the program. I worked with teachers in Science, and in Math classes. I also participated in the volleyball activities, and group activities. This is when I realized I wanted to work with youth my whole life. My interest in English, and my interest in being a role model to youth made me decide to become an English teacher, especially working with students whose first language is not English.

My few years on this planet have been a bit confusing. I have learned of many aspects of life from which one can draw meaning, if indeed such meaning can be drawn. I have also learned that there can be no singular meaning of life to stand for us all, or even any one of us. Life is a complicated twist of suffering, laughing, and learning all merging to tell a great story – or great many stories. Based on this view, "it is not the end goal or outcome of life that gives life meaning but rather the quality of the story, the quality with which one lives out and develops his or her role."
At the time, this event seemed rather insignificant and did not merit remembrance. However, its catastrophic effects on my attitude that evening may have helped to mold me into the person I have become. I learned that suffering through such an event, as childish as it was, is quite necessary in any life. Such pains are part of an interminable cycle and only generate balance in one's life (p. 62, 'Life as Suffering'). Despite my horrid time spent that evening, the laughter brought since the incident is a worthy tradeoff. Laughter is an all too necessary function of life, just as suffering and the wide range of other emotions. "Some thinkers would emphasize the importance of sophistication in humor, but others would say that laughter itself is what is important." Whatever the case may be, laughter is an important ingredient in life, and must not be taken for granted nor ignored.

Meaning of Life
The meaning of life will vary from person to person. Some people believe happiness is the ultimate meaning of life. Others may believe it is perseverance or love or millions of other things. Everyone has different experiences and different opinions; these opinions and experiences will shape our views and lead us to decide what we feel is meaningful to us. There is not a right or wrong answer to the question: "What is the meaning of life?". The truth is, it is all dependent on your personal beliefs. Ever since I was a kid I had struggled a lot in many different areas in my life. If it was not one thing, it was the other. In elementary school, I was very outgoing and very talkative. I had a lot of friends, I would get into trouble from time to time because I never kept my mouth shut. I enjoyed school and did pretty well with my grades. Despite being "okay" or "normal" on the outside, I had begun to notice I felt different on the inside. As I got older, I began to develop interests that most girls were not at all interested in. I preferred boys clothes over the dresses and blouses my mom would buy for me. Everyone is different and that is what makes our world so interesting. Another important choice in life is having a healthy body. The key to achieving a healthy body is diet, exercise, and rest. In the world today, doctors are constantly reminding us to watch our body fat, cholesterol, and nutritional intake.
