6 DECEMBER 2025 Goodman Arts Centre, BlackBox
Starring Pangdemonium’s Very Youthful Company. The duration of this performance is approximately 80 minutes.
Produced by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock, Illinois
A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. It looks like an open-and-shut case – until one of the jurors begins opening the others' eyes to the facts. Tempers get short, arguments grow heated, and the jurors become angry.

Pangdemonium’s Very Youthful Company tackles this classic adaptation of the famed Sidney Lumet movie about perception, power, and justice.

Pangdemonium’s Very Youthful Company 2025 presents Twelve Angry Jurors!
The Very Youthful Company (VYC) is one of Pangdemonium’s signature programmes As the ‘straight play’ sister to our Triple Threats Musical Theatre Programme, VYC has been running since 2021. Since then, we’ve staged everything from classics to more contemporary fare. However, the unspoken foundation across the VYC programming has been a commitment to an ensemble-based theatre-making featuring roles with psychological depth for our young participants to sink their teeth into
With Twelve Angry Jurors, we are presenting our biggest class yet, and I am thrilled by the growth of these thirteen young souls.
Over the last few months, participants have met every Saturday to rehearse the play you are about to watch. The actors and stage managers who are also trying their hand at costume, props, and marketing.
In the process, I’ve taught them the basics of performance-making and building a character They’ve also had the privilege of having short workshops with esteemed theatre professionals in voice, costume, and marketing
Twelve Angry Jurors is about … well, just that. Twelve jurors are stuck in a room to decide the fate of a 19-year-old boy who is accused of murder Over the course of 90 minutes, the twelve jurors discuss the fate of the boy. Tensions flare as each juror’s underlying beliefs and prejudices are slowly uncovered What results is a thrilling explosion about legality, morality, and standing up for what’s right.

Timothy Koh Director of VYC

Welcome to Twelve Angry Jurors.
Thank you for supporting our young thespians –and the future of Singapore theatre.

Welcome to Pangdemonium’s Very Youthful Company’s production of Twelve Angry Jurors!
True to our mission to nurture the next generation of youths who are passionate about theatre, our Very Youthful Company (VYC) provides a safe, stimulating and inspiring space for young people to creatively explore, discover, and empower themselves and one another
What we aim for is to not only feed their love for creating good theatre but also to instil in these youths the belief that the theatre they make can become a powerful life skill, and also make a difference in people’s lives.
Pangdemonium is honoured to have received plenty of feedback over the years from our audiences about how they have been impacted by our productions in many positive ways. This is the kind of theatre we believe in
And this belief is also imbued in our VYC production of Twelve Angry Jurors. Because apart from their love for the craft of storytelling, these youths have injected this timeless play with a deep compassion for the community around them, a firm belief in our shared humanity, and a genuine sense of hope for the future of this world that they are inheriting. We have much to learn from this play and also from these youths.
Just as the jurors in Twelve Angry Jurors reach their verdict through careful deliberation, nurturing young talents requires patience, insight, and dedication. A big thank you to the Diana Koh Foundation, Shaw Foundation, and The Grace, Shua and Jacob Ballas II Charitable Trust for your steadfast support in nurturing creativity and inspiring a lifelong love of the arts.
Thanks to Pangdemonium’s millennial Associate Director Timothy Koh for mentoring and guiding these young folks over the past few months; to our creative/production/technical/ stage management teams for being kick-ass; and to our VYC youths for being great company the future belongs to you!
Love,

Muhammad Sameer Ul Haque | Foreman

What’s good! I’m Sameer, I’m 18 years old. Like some of my peers here, I’m a year 2 in Performance Diploma at LASALLE I’m a young, developing actor and I live day by day always trying to be a better version of myself Work Hard, Live Long, Prosper, Stay Groovy.
Joining VYC was something I decided on for the fun of it I’d never worked and acted in a proper stage production before, only in small films and SYF. Regardless, it feels good to have my boots on the ground and explore working in this field. It’s gonna be awesome

Hi! I’m Amber, and I’m 16 this year I’ve been in love with theatre ever since I stepped onstage at the ripe old age of 4 I live onstage in worlds created by brilliant minds, creating a story I call my own, and I can’t wait for what comes next.
I joined VYC to get a glimpse of what I crave: an opportunity to further expand my experience in theatre outside of a school-curated curriculum. Experiences are created by the people you surround yourself with, so it is also a great opportunity to meet other young, like-minded actors!

I’m Dhruv, and I’m 16 years old Currently studying Literary Arts in SOTA, I’ve been raised by the arts community around me in many ways. I’ve been passionate about theatre for as long as I can remember, and I hope to grow up to be a professional actor one day
I joined VYC because I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to broaden my acting horizon and get to experience what it’s like to be a part of a full production VYC would also give me the opportunity to explore more about the art form and myself.

Your RESIDENT generic SOTA theatre student, I’ve always been passionate about performing since young I made my first-ever theatre debut in 2022 and haven’t stopped since I’m thrilled to be part of VYC and look forward to seeing what the future holds for me in the industry. Watch her seize the day!
I joined VYC as I was looking to do an acting-centric programme I had worked with Pangdemonium before, and I really enjoyed it, so I figured, why not try out for this! I wanted to find people who loved plays as much as me and get a little teaser of marketing and design in theatre

At 3 years old, I was infected by the stage performance bug at an impromptu street fair while playing Billy Goat #2 Under the tutelage of great teachers and amazing opportunities, I’ve enjoyed every moment of this journey Before college, I’m immersing myself in any and all theatre opportunities in Singapore.
I joined VYC because it is an exemplary programme for youths like me to learn theatre making, understand the theatrical process, hone my acting skills, and work with like-minded peers. I’m also looking forward to being involved in marketing and costumes operations
Chia | Juror 6

Hey there! I’m Mirielle and I’m 14, currently in my school’s English drama club and have participated in many other performances as well I have been passionate about performing since I was young and I enjoy the feeling of performing on stage
I joined VYC as it was a great opportunity for me to learn and gain more experience in theatre I also wanted to get the chance to be part of more plays outside of school and now that I am in VYC, I am able to keep myself busy in theatre and do what I love most.
Valencia Ng | Juror 7

Hello! My name is Valencia, and I’m 18 years old this year. I’m in LASALLE, Diploma in Performance. I aspire to make an impact in the theatre scene and allow my voice to advocate for those who feel unheard or unseen
I wanted to join VYC as a chance to explore new ways to strengthen my skillset. Being able to work with well established theatre practitioners gives me a thrill that I am unable to get anywhere else

Hi, I’m Sharada! I’m 18 and have been studying acting since a year ago.
I joined VYC to understand what goes into making a show for people to enjoy and connect to It takes the issues circulating in our world very seriously, and its honesty, integrity, and passion always shine through.

Allison Oak Soe | Juror 9

Heyyyy! I’m Allison and I’m 15! Since I was young, I’ve taken part in multiple projects regarding this passion of mine and I have no plans to stop! Theatre and I are inseparable and I hope to keep theatre close to my heart while I pursue my studies.
I joined VYC to keep in touch with the theatre kid in me. As I venture into my studies, things like VYC make my life a little less dreary. Theatre is what makes me feel like myself, so VYC was the perfect opportunity for me to continue doing what I love most!

Hi, I’m Wai Kit! I’m 14 this year, and currently pursuing my secondary education at Catholic High School I’ve been involved in performances since the age of seven, and today as I look back, theatre and drama have played a pivotal role in shaping me into someone expressive, confident and honest.
To me, VYC 2025 stands out for its unique features, from its comprehensive theatremaking journey to the opportunity it gives youths to act in a play about justice, a theme I feel deeply passionate about. “Theatre is a weapon, and for that reason, it must be fought for ”

Hi, I’m Ayna!! I’m 14 and love everything arts, such as composing, painting and others However, I only started really getting into drama last year! I joined the drama club in my school, and since then have played in school plays and a musical. Before that, I mainly did dance!
I joined VYC to improve my acting skills, and get a look at theatre professionally I also joined for the community! I find that bonds made during rehearsals are irreplaceable Theatre is also a place where I can fully detach myself from me and immerse myself in a character

I’m Aliyah, I'm 17 years old and currently pursuing a Diploma in Communications I’ve been involved with theatre since I was put on stage at four years old and have been captivated since. I hope to make a mark in the theatre scene and enjoy every opportunity!
I joined VYC to jump back into theatre. I wanted to get a glimpse of not only acting on stage but, behind the scenes work which VYC offers I had also wanted to surround myself with youths who share the same love for theatre as me!

Ho Yan Xi | Guard & Assistant Stage Manager

What’s up! I’m Yan Xi and I ADORE theatre Theatre is cool because it’s silly and serious and meaningful all at once. Just like people! When not theatre-ing, I can be found hanging out with my friends or talking about the political and economic state of the world right now
VYC is like professional theatre but with the grace and understanding that we are still learning! I also wanted to learn more about the other teams that help create a show and VYC gives us the opportunity to do that
