1606 Contrato de un retablo por parte de Jorge Manuel para la iglesia de San Ginés de Toledo con inclusión de pinturas de su padre. El hijo del Greco contrata también, en nombre de su progenitor, el altar mayor y los colaterales de la iglesia de Lugar Nuevo, obras no realizadas. 1607 Acuerdo con el Hospital de Illescas en relación al pago de los lienzos. Contrato de las pinturas de la capilla Ovalle, en San Vicente de Toledo. 1608 Contrato del retablo mayor y los colaterales del Hospital toledano de San Juan Bautista (Tavera), obras inconclusas por la muerte del artista. Para el primero realiza el Bautismo de Cristo y para los segundos la Anunciación y la Visión del Apocalipsis. 1609 El Greco y su hijo reconocen una deuda con el doctor Angulo, que les había prestado dinero. 1610 Inicio del Laocoonte. 1611 Proyecto y dirección de la construcción de un túmulo en la catedral con motivo de las exequias de la reina Margarita. Recibe en su taller al pintor Francisco Pacheco, que escribirá sobre él y su trabajo.

1606 Contract signed by Jorge Manuel for a retable for the church of San Gines de Toledo, which would include paintings by his father. El Greco’s son also closes the deal, on his father’s behalf, for the retables of the main and the two lateral altars of the church of Lugar Nuevo, which would never be accomplished. 1607 Signing of an agreement with the Hospital of Illescas in relation to the payment of the canvasses commissioned. A contract is also signed for the paintings of the chapel of Ovalle in San Vicente de Toledo. 1608 El Greco gets another contract for the main and the collateral retables of the Hospital de San Juan Bautista (Tavera), which would be left unfinished due to the death of the artist. On the main altarpiece he paints The Baptism of Christ, on the lateral ones The Annunciation and Vision of the Apocalypse. 1609 El Greco and his son acknowledge a debt with Doctor Angulo, from whom they had borrowed money. 1610 He begins the Laocoön. 1611 The painter projects and directs the building of a tumulus in the Cathedral on the occasion of the mourning ceremonies for queen Margarita. He receives the visit of the painter Francisco Pacheco in his workshop. Pacheco will later write about El Greco and his work.
