Dunbar has recently gained a new rejuvenation clinic located inside YNP Dunbar Pharmacy. Dr. Charles Scudamore and YNP pharmacists Norman Cheng and Matthew Chong agree that teaming up a medical practice with a pharmacy is a natural fit. Dr. Scudamore is one of British Columbia’s foremost physicians; he is a leading surgical expert in liver transplantation, hepatobiliary oncology, and trauma. He is also an expert on the early recognition of pancreatic cancers and advanced colorectal metastases to the liver.
His vast experience has included head liver transplant surgeon at Vancouver General Hospital and BC Children’s Hospital and surgical director of the BC Liver Transplant Program. In addition, he developed Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at the University of British Columbia and is the former president of the North Pacific Surgical Association. He is also a researcher, teacher, and caring physician.
Dr. Scudamore is a recipient of the prestigious Order of B.C. and Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. A fourth generation Vancouverite, his grandfather was born in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood before Vancouver General Hospital existed. His son Brian Scudamore lives in Dunbar and is the owner and founder of 1-800-Got-Junk and other successful companies. Dr. Scudamore has come full circle with the opening of his rejuvenation clinic.
