Where does the Palace Theatre fit into your local life? Well we hope you’ll say it’s the beating heart of Paignton and South Devon, because that’s what it feels like here! We do feel very appreciated and a measure of this is just how many of you voted for us in the Muddy Devon Awards, resulting in us winning the ‘Best Theatre/Arts Venue’ for the second year in a row.
This place is so much more than just a theatre. We have worked hard in the five years since taking on the Palace and are now more than proud of just how many fabulous shows and amazing community events fill this place every day of the week. Everything from Social Enterprise workshops to Cha Cha lessons. Stage Left, our event space, has been the base for an incredible range of private events, activities, rehearsals and classes. And by opening The Prop Store for pre-show dining we have added yet another arm to this multi-faceted arts hub.
In the weeks to come you may be approached as part of our ‘Next Five Years’ customer research and we do hope that you will share your views and ideas as we enter the next exciting phase for the Grand Old Lady of Palace Avenue.
