CONCEP TUAL STUDY

Born from the Brazilian Copeira dance , this project has curves tha ressembles the motion of the participiant’s bodies. The shape was conceived with two overlapping planes with different heights creating several spaces rich in its use, satisfying the various activities proposed. The conceived architecture was concerned with being used as a whole not only as a roof, but also with suspended platforms for easy access to the population.

The main objective was to design a space (ephemeral pavilion) that will be installed in the Ă guas Claras Ecological Park so that it is not only appreciated, if not also used by the population that frequents the area. Proposals like this enrich our urban spaces by encouraging the population to participate directly in leisure and art.

Due to the complex shape and curvature, the glued laminated wood will be used for the main structure that turns into wooden steps at the same time.

Laminated wood allows to overcome large spans, up to 100m without intermediate support. This performs better than solid wood and is much lighter. When walking on the structure, the observer is able to see the wonderful horizon of buildings and trees belonging to Aguas clara.

Ypsillon House was designed in the city of Brasilia, Brasil. The house is located in front of an environmental reserve, exposing the resident to a natural view. The Ypsillon House client requested that the house have a space for the production of architectural models. I started from this desire to generate the concept of having the home and the work area only separated by a leisure area. What connects these two wings of the house is the service sector of the house, including kitchen, garage and service area

On the second floor of the house, the resident will have an initial contact with the TV room, which will be a starting point for the remaining rooms. As a complement, each of the two bedrooms will have a space reserved for a desk and the suite will have a large walking closet. In order to contemplate and enjoy nature, the three rooms will have their own passage available to the hot tub, an organic garden and, at the front, a shared balcony. Additionally, allowing circulation and connection with the rest of the house, the second floor will have a wide view of the ground floor pool.

Giving Ypsillon House the concept of sustainability and modernity in its general design, solar panels will be implemented in the coverage area, aiming to optimize all technology to generate clean and self-sustaining energy, and a mixed steel and glass pergola. In addition, to prevent future infiltrations, the slabs will be waterproofed throughout the entire roof.

Along with the other elements, gutters to collect rainwater will be installed, directed to the lower reservoir. Such a reservoir will serve to irrigate green areas. Finally, there will be a water tank dividing the total space.

LRV STATION

Main Entrance - At the main access of ArenaBSB,

a Central Terminal for the Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) will be installed, which will make the single route, round trip, starting at the bus station and heading to the complex, without intermediate stops . In addition, the central terminal will have points reserved for stopping taxis and vehicles for locomotion applications such as uber and the other existing ones. Likewise, the space will include souvenir shops, small eating areas, sanitary facilities, for public use and ATMs 24 hours a day. Upon arriving at the central terminal, the visitor will be exposed to a monolith of light, surrounded by dancing waters, which will reflect programmed lights, paying homage to the Brazilian Flag or any event with representative colors.

Bicycle paths and pedestrian circuit - With the intention of following the typology of the area corresponding to the Boulevard, two arches of bicycle paths with pedestrian circuits were created. Which will cover the wide range of parking lots, aiming at integration with the Boulevard as a whole. Along the route, bike racks will be installed along with public toilets, giving cyclists and visitors the possibility to take advantage of the activities offered at ArenaBSB.

Office Area - From the origin to three modules,

composed of three floors each, with a hollow architecture, which accommodates the passage of the bike path and pedestrian circuit, without interruptions, through the area. For the locomotive facility of cyclists, bike racks will be installed in its vicinity. On the external side, between the office area and the sports complex, the landscape elements of gardens with pegolados were implemented, which will be shared between both buildings, facilitating access between the existing gym and store sectors. In addition to the aesthetic quality, it will provide natural shadows to the visitors of the appropriate areas.

Coworking - Contrary to the isolated idea of ​​work,

a semi-open concept, with exposure to nature, was developed in the areas of coworking. The intentional act of extending the building over the passage of the bike path and pedestrian circuit, allows employees to adapt a more active lifestyle.

To influence this behavior, changing rooms and showers will be installed in suitable areas of the work environment.

With a space reserved for multicultural events, the areas of the gym, office and coworking complex will share a single alley.

Entertainment and Gastronomy - The

entertainment and gastronomy area will have a central building for the food court, where the visitor can enjoy snacks in fast foods, coffee shops, ice cream parlors and others in their varieties. In addition, two nightclubs (nightclubs) are being proposed on the sides of the food court. Finally, a pair of buildings will be installed at the front of the building, reserved for the use of eminent restaurants.

Shopping Center - For the maximum use of

interactive areas, a building with two floors was designed, including cross-shaped walkways accompanied by an organic roof, establishing a connection between the neighboring buildings. This set will have 120 stores with dimensions of 5x10 (50m2), with the possibility of removing internal walls, in order to expand areas for future businesses.

Sports Courts - Sector with wooded landscape planning, composed of sports courts, reserved for outdoor sports such as tennis, football and others. These areas will be accessed through the three locomotion routes, namely, VTL, bicycle path and pedestrian circuit. Harmoniously, these roads will join the sports complex, giving direct access to the sports courts.

Dog Park and Pet Shop - The sectorization was

defined so that animals do not interfere in areas such as work environments, restaurants and cinema, with noises or threats to the hygiene of gastronomic spaces. With this, it will provide greater comfort to visitors, employees and animals. This area will be accompanied by pet shops, valuing what is available.

The Eataly gastronomic complex was designed in the Itza Complex, which is located in Águas Claras, providing the inhabitants with a gastronomic experience, in a single place where you can eat, buy and learn about Italian gastronomy. On the ground floor there is a mixed store with leisure areas in the center of the building.

On the ground floor there is a free circulation space that leads to the Parque de Ă guas Claras. In the center there is a leisure area with a water mirror and in the surroundings, tables to enjoy the diversified commerce that is found on site.

On the first floor, there is the entire gastronomic complex Eataly, serving restaurants, shops, cafes and an exhibition space on cuisine. It has two entrances, one on the ground floor and another access coming from the garage floor.

The building expressed in its form the reinterpretation of the city of Ă guas Claras, exposing the steel structure as a reference to urbanization and the vegetation as a reference to the Parque de Ă guas Claras. The layout of the complex allows for thermal comfort and at the same time adds to the spaces directed to the balconies, having three types of apartments: 70m2 - 85 units; 140m2 - 10 units and 210m2 - 10 units.

The leisure sectors of the Itza Complex are located on the 2nd floor, with a party room, barbecue grills, longstanding areas, jacuzzi and gym and on the 13th floor, there is the games room, meeting room and cinema.

Making the environments diverse and transforming the vision of the residents when looking at the Águas Claras Park when walking through the building. The building guided the features of the city of Águas Claras with its robust structure of glass and steel, softening with its free circulation and vegetation throughout the building.

CONCEPTUAL STUDY

The ergonomics of the stingray was chosen because it is a marine animal dependent on two totally ambiguous means, such as air and water. The fact that the museum has a direct flow between the terrestrial and aquatic environment, allows us to witness and understand the essential connection with animal life. From the upper part of the museum, to its submerged end, which provides visual contact of the internal and external environment, having a real understanding between all three states of matter.

Due to the different levels and ceiling heights , a visual accessibility is provided to the visitor, allowing a better receptivity and comfort in the environment. With this, it will be possible to appreciate the submerged exterior, as the upper part emerges.

All internal elements of the museum are represented throughout the project. Starting with the ceiling, elliptical shapes, representing a skeletal structure and livelihood of animals. In addition, there are the presence of three organic elements, which project holographic images, allowing the perception of all the historical evolution of maritime life and interactions for the children. Such projections, emphasize the importance of the soul, feeling and energy for an animal to have life, differentiating it from any other common matter.

Finally, an area reserved for fossils, highlights the three stages of living beings, of being born, living and dying.

The tunnels represent the veins of the museum, where people are allowed to flow from one medium to another, without interrupting the view of the marine fauna circulating around them. With this, the continuous visualization outside, in the tunnels of passage, discards any cloistered sensation for the visitor.
