For a Turkish person who live in Turkey it’s nearly impossible to see them in their daily life because they live in areas such as America, Egypt, India They are approximately 1 meter long and when they open their wings, the wings can stretch up to 270 cm.

They weigh up and down 10 kg.

N TWO SHAPES Toucans live in tropical forests in South America. They are known with their colorful feathers and big beaks.

Toco Toucan is the largest of Toucans. They are approximately 55- 65 cm long.

On September 29th, 2017, SpaceX CEO and Lead Designer Elon Musk presented a new rocket design. The mission is to make life interplanetary and build a human colony on Mars. It will be launched in 2022.

Interview with Junior Stem Masters ELIS KALAFATOGLU

We visited Pre-school students on our campus to learn about what they have done in their STEM classes. Some were eager to talk, some were shy. They told us about what STEM is , shared what they have imagined and created in those classes.

Elis : Hello Green class.

Class : Hello.

Elis : I was checking STEM Junior Booklet and it really looked interesting. I thought I can make an interview with you. Can I? Class : Yes. We can tell you about it.

Elis : Perfect.

Elis : What have you done in STEM Classes? What have you accomplished? Çınar : We learned how to grow plants.

Elis : And which ones did you grow? Çınar : Strawberry Ipek : Pepper.

Ezgi : Peaches.

Elis : Peaches? Did you grow peaches?

Ezgi : No. I just like peaches.

Elis : Oh. Me too Ezgi. Thank you.

Ezgi : But I grew tomatoes.

Elis : Oh cool. Why though?

Ipek : Because we need food on Mars.

Elis : Yes! About that. How can we survive on Mars. Çınar : There was a plant. What was it?

Class : Asparagus!

Elis : What about it?

Ezgi : We can grow it on Mars! Maybe.

Elis : How? Surely it is hard job. Çınar : No no. We learned to build greenhouses.

Ipek : I used cartoon box to build a greenhouse.

Alp : I used plastic bottle.

Alp : The soil is salty. It is suitable.

Ipek : We can water the soil and plant Asparagus in our Greenhouse.

Elis : Now, I’m enlightened. Çınar : We used our Imagination for everything.

Ipek : We made a book about Mars!

Elis : What kind of a book was it?

Ipek : We drew pictures for it. We introduced Mars.

Elis : Thank you for everything and answering my questions.

Elis : Last question.

Elis : Did you have fun?

Whole Class : YES!

Astroneer is a game which was set during a 25th century gold rush where players must explore the frontiers of outer space, risking their lives and resources in harsh environments for the chance of being rich.

In the begining a space station launches you to an earth-like planet to start your journey.

You start to gather . resources to build your base. You should be careful or without oxygen you can't breathe and eventually you will lose the game. You can build rovers and trucks to help you explore the planets. .

The game can be played with up to 4 players to make the job easier. You can start your own game and your friends can join it. Who doesn't want to travel to other planets with a friend?

As you progress through the game you can build a space ship to travel to other planets in the solar system. Every planet has a different eco-system so each of them is interesting. Developers are still working to add new features to the game and we are very excited!

SELÄ°M KORKMAZ

RC is the abbreviation of Radio Control. You control the car with a remote and race with it. It is a genuine hobby and getting popular in Turkey day by day.

There are two types of RC cars.

Electricity and gas.

And of course you'll need batteries for the control panel.

Off-road cars can go in the sand and dirt. But high-speed cars usually need a circuit to race on. After fueling it all you need to do is to use the remote and be careful!

They are fast!

There are many competitions around the world. In Turkey, Istanbul there is a circuit for RC cars. But the hobby is not common among people. I enjoy my time there with my RC car. Mine is off-road.

People organize races in Maltepe. Maintanenc e and repair of the RC cars teaches me lots of things. Even though I can't do it alone I'm improving myself by getting help from my father. I hope it will get more popular in the future.

BASKETBALL WORLD RECORDS KAAN SÖNMEZ, MURAT BORA REYHANOĞLU

1- Beşiktaş player Hüdai Budanur scored 110 points in 1 match against Karagücü in 1957.

He scored all of the points.

2- Skidmore- Southern Vermont's is the longest NBA game: 128-123. The game was finalized after 7 overtimes.

5- The tallest basketball player in the world was Manute Bol. He is 2.31. With his great height and very long limbs he was a very effective defensive player.

4- Most 3-point field goals scored in a game was by Stephen Curry. The game was "Golden State Warriors vs. New Orleans Pelicans" on November 7, 2016

6- The shortest basketball player, Muggsy Bogues, is 1.60. He played in teams such as Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors.

WHO SAID I'M TINY? A Miniaturk trip.

Ok look. No one can say I'm small. Except skyscrappers and apartments and other buildings and vehicles and... Anyway, I'm a human. I built those. But there is a place and it makes me feel like Gulliver. Like I'm a giant. Only, I'm not bigger but things are smaller.

We went to Miniaturk as a Even Galata Tower looked school. It was fun and easy to climb. interesting. All the monuments were smaller than us. And they looked so real!

I took some photos there.

Look at this tiny boat. I wonder if I can get on that thing.

Hagia Sophia was also cool to see. This one also has red walls like the real one. It was built between 532-537 by I. Justinianus, a Byzantium Emperor.

Miniaturk Museum has got many natural and historical places . In the museum we can see many beautiful places. For example ; We can see İzmir Clock Tower, castles, Pamukkale, airports etc. Let’s go to the Miniaturk and discover Turkey !
