The Mexican leg of the 2023 series in Mexico City is the perfect opportunity for Longines to highlight the Official Watch of the event, a model from Longines DolceVita X YVY line. Swiss designer Yvonne Reichmuth has given the famously rectangular timepieces a new identity, with sophisticated leather straps. Referencing the equestrian world so dear to Longines, their design is evocative to bridles and harness. Ladies and Gentlemen, dear Equestrian Sports Enthusiasts, I wish you a wonderful weekend filled with many exciting sports moments at the Longines Global Champions Tour in Mexico City.

The 2023 season is off to a fantastic start, with incredible performances at the highest level of sport showcased in both Doha, and Miami Beach for the first and second events of the year. The Longines Global Champions Tour individual championship race is starting to heat up, and the GCL teams championship is set for another thrilling year. We are proud to host many talented riders from Mexico on the tour, and are excited by the return of Mexico Amigo’s in this year’s team championship.

Cada año, el Comité Organizador, junto con la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional quien tiene a su cargo el maravilloso Campo Militar Marte, con el apoyo de la Comisión Nacional de Cultura Física y Deporte CONADE y la incondicional ayuda de la Federación que presido, trabajamos más intensamente para que este evento sea comparable con los mejores del mundo. La calidad de los proveedores, oficiales, de la entusiasta comunidad ecuestre y fans de los caballos, todo junto con las increíbles instalaciones del Campo Militar Marte, hacen de este evento digno de reconocimiento mundial. Ciudad de México serà la tercera etapa del Longines Global Champions Tour y de la Global Champions League. Así pues la pista verde del Campo Marte volverà a ser el epicentro de la hípica mundial para orgullo de México y de todos los mexicanos. Ademàs, este año se estrena el equipo “Mexico Amigos” que competirà en todas las sedes de la Global Champions League y serà aquí el anfitrión.
Mexico City will be the third stop of the Longines Global Champions Tour and the Global Champions League. The grass arena of Campo Marte will once again be the epicenter of world equestrianism, to the pride of Mexico and all Mexicans. In addition, this year will see the debut of the "Mexico Amigos" team, which will compete in all the Global Champions League venues and will be hosted here.

La temporada 2023 arrancó en Doha, la capital qatarí situada en el corazón de la metrópolis de Oriente Medio, donde una impresionante selección de atletas copó los primeros puestos del podio. La segunda etapa del Longines Global Champions Tour 2023 contó con el regreso de la mundialmente conocida Miami Beach. Ciudad de México, uno de los destinos más venerados del circuito, acoge la tercera etapa, seguida de una serie de 10 eventos en el corazón de Europa.

The 2023 season launched in Doha, the Qatari capital in the heart of the metropolitan Middle East, where top podium positions were claimed by an impressive selection of athletes. Leg two of the 2023 Longines Global Champions Tour saw the return of the world-renowned Miami Beach. Mexico City, one of the most revered destinations on tour, plays host to the third leg, followed by a 10-strong series of events across the heart of Europe.
De Madrid a Ramatuelle/St. Tropez, Cannes, Estocolmo, París, Mónaco y Riesenbeck, la última incorporación a la Gira de la LGCT y la GCL. Desde allí, el emblemático Royal Hospital Chelsea de Londres acoge la undécima etapa de la temporada 2023. A continuación, la competición por el Campeonato tomará una nueva velocidad en la cuna del salto de obstáculos, Valkenswaard, para volar después a Roma, Nueva York, Riad y culminar la acción deportiva del año en la gran final de Praga (República Checa).
From Madrid to Ramatuelle/St. Tropez, Cannes, Stockholm, Paris, Monaco to Risenbeck, the latest addition to the LGCT and GCL Tour. From there the iconic Royal Hospital Chelsea London plays host to the 11th leg of the 2023 season. The Championship race is then seen hitting a new gear at the home of show jumping in Valkenswaard, jetting off to Rome, New York City, Riyadh and the culmination of the year’s sporting action in the ultimate final showdown in Prague, Czech Republic.

Ciudades como Madrid, St. Tropez, París, Estocolmo o Nueva York serán testigos de los recorridos de campeones olímpicos y campeones mundiales.

Considerado la “Fórmula 1” del salto de obstáculos jinete y caballo deberán demostrar su valía y ser capaces de acabar sus recorridos sin cometer ninguna falta en cualquier tipo de terreno sumado a la presión de estar frente a miles de espectadores. Considered to be the “Formula 1” of the show jumping, rider and horse must prove their worth and be able to finish their courses without faults on any type of terrain, adding the pressure of being in front of thousands of spectators. Step by step, riders will accumulate points to finally proclaim the winner of the Tour that has obtained the best results throughout the different legs.
This year the tour celebrates its seventeenth edition and its 16 venues are a gift for the spectator, one of the most explosive and exciting competitions on the international scene. Cities such as Doha, Miami, Madrid, New York, Paris, London or St. Tropez will witness the journeys of Olympic champions and world champions.

GCL is an innovative concept within show jumping, which since its launch in 2016, has grown as an exciting sports league within the Longines Global Champions Tour. VILLAGE COMERCIAL Este espacio será el encargado de ofrecer diversión y ocio a todos los asistentes, que podrán disfrutar en un área con una amplia zona para niños, foodtrucks, stands premium, etc... En el área de shopping, más de 50 marcas estarán representadas en 80 stands aproximadamente de todo tipo de sector, no sólo ecuestre y para todos los públicos. Muchos de ellos son repetidores de la edición pasada, y el aumento de interés por parte de expositores nuevos ha sido muy notable.

Junto a esta zona, estará la zona de juegos en la que los niños conocerán cómo cuidar el material hípico, se organizarán talleres y juegos. La zona de restaurantes está formada por un gran número de foodtrucks en los que los asistentes podrán disfrutar de la mejor y más variada gastronomía de la ciudad. Además, el escenario de música se encargará de amenizar el evento en los momentos más importantes y con el objetivo de que los espectadores pasen un día inolvidable.

SHOPPING VILLAGE The shopping village of the Longines Global Champions Tour Of Mexico Presented by GNP Mexico Jumping offers fun and leisure to all attendees, who can enjoy a large area with entertainment for children, foodtrucks, premium stands, etc ... So, in this area more than 50 brands will be represented in 80 stands approximately, not only equestrian but for all public. Many of them repeat as the last edition and the increase of interest by new exhibitors has been very remarkable.
Children will learn hHow to take care of equestrian equipment, and workshops and games will be organized. The gourmet area is formed by a large number of foodtrucks in which the attendees can enjoy the best gastronomy of the city. In addition, the music scene will be responsible for brightening the event in the most important moments, with the aim that the spectators spend an unforgettable day.

Dentro de la estructura de la Dirección General de Educación Militar de la Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional, se cuenta con la Subdirección de Educación Física y Deportes, misma que contempla la Sección de Alto Rendimiento y Equipos de Conjunto, la cual agrupa a los militares que se destacan por contar con habilidades y capacidades físicas superiores al resto de sus compañeros, y que pueden llegar a ser atletas de alto rendimiento. ¿Cómo se le apoya al personal que forma parte del grupo de atletas de alto rendimiento del Ejército y Fuerza Aérea Mexicanos? What are the sports that military personnel usually excel at?
¿Cuáles son los deportes en los que destaca el personal militar? Los atletas de alto rendimiento han obtenido logros significativos y medallas olímpicas en diferentes disciplinas deportivas, como son: Tae Kwon Do, pentatlón moderno, clavados, tiro con arco, ráquetbol y deportes ecuestres. ¿Con qué tipo de instalaciones deportivas cuenta la SEDENA? Dentro de la infraestructura del Ejército y Fuerza Aérea Mexicanos y a lo largo del tiempo, se ha logrado disponer de instalaciones adecuadas para la práctica de las diferentes disciplinas deportivas, como son: pistas de atletismo, gimnasios, albercas, campos de tiro, centros deportivos ecuestres, canchas de raquetbol, frontón, squash, tenis, basquetbol, fútbol, voleibol, entre otras. Procurando al máximo que todas estas instalaciones cuenten con las condiciones que se exigen para el entrenamiento y competencias de alto rendimiento. ¿Qué otros deportes olímpicos impulsa la SEDENA? Como resultado del esfuerzo del personal de atletas y sus logros obtenidos, esta Secretaría, ha impulsado otras disciplinas, encontrándose en ascenso las siguientes: canotaje, box, lucha, judo, patinaje artístico, natación, nado sincronizado, ciclismo, caminata, carreras de fondo y medio fondo.

Within the infrastructure of the Mexican Army and Air Force and over time, it has managed to have adequate facilities for the practice of different sports disciplines, such as: athletics tracks, gymnasiums, swimming pools, shooting ranges, equestrian sports centres, racquetball courts, fronton, squash, tennis, basketball, soccer, volleyball, among others. The maximum effort should be made to ensure that all these facilities have the conditions required for training and high performance competitions. What other Olympic sports does the SEDENA promote? As a result of the efforts of the athletic personnel and their achievements, SEDENA has promoted other disciplines, and the following are on the rise: canoeing, boxing, wrestling, judo, figure skating, swimming, synchronized swimming, cycling, walking, long-distance and middle-distance running. What does it mean for you and the SEDENA to host a venue for the Longines Global Champions Tour at Campo Deportivo Militar Marte? It is an honor for the SEDENA to contribute to the materialization of this type of world-class event, as this institution always seeks to promote Mexican equestrian sport.

¿Qué supone para la SEDENA, albergar una sede del circuito de “Longines Global Champions Tour” en Campo Deportivo Militar Marte? Es un honor para la SEDENA coadyuvar en la materialización de este tipo de eventos de nivel mundial, ya que esta institución busca siempre impulsar el deporte ecuestre mexicano, cabe mencionar que constituye un motivo de orgullo que nuestro país por séptima ocasión sea el único de la región latinoamericana en que se realiza esta justa deportiva. ¿Qué implicación consideran que ello tiene para el deporte ecuestre nacional? Este evento no solo impacta a nivel nacional, trasciende las fronteras con la participación de los mejores competidores del mundo, lo que representa una oportunidad para los jinetes y amazonas mexicanos para obtener experiencias que solo podrían vivir en el extranjero y que son de gran trascendencia en su preparación para representar a México en competencias oficiales internacionales como lo son los juegos olímpicos, panamericanos y centroamericanos. ¿Qué beneficios conlleva para México tener eventos internacionales de este nivel? Todo evento de esta índole es benéfico y productivo para el país, en el caso de este circuito ecuestre de primer nivel a escala mundial, en el que participan los mejores jinetes y caballos del mundo brinda a los deportistas civiles y militares, así como a la población en general la oportunidad de disfrutar esta competencia como experiencia única.

Nico: As a rider: Running. It helps me to stay fit, keep my mind focused and motivates me. I usually have a balanced nutrition that helps me to keep my energy up. Also, the sport psychology sessions helps me to concentrate, focus and improve my breathing.
Para mis caballos: Mucho trabajo de piso para tenerlos en la mejor condición y Gimnasias. Patricio: Meditación, estiramientos, pilates o body bar y me alimento balanceado. 11. CONSEJO PARA FUTURAS PROMESAS Nico: Primero que sueñen y no se pongan límites y después, que trabajen dia a día… como en muchos deportes, son la perserverancia y la disciplina las bases fundamentales del éxito.
