The main aim of this thesis is to discuss the importance of situational understanding of spatial practice through the technique of collage in contemporary art practice, structured in chronological manner by examining the works of Cubism and Surrealism. While science and technology had fuelled the movement of Modernism and Functionalism which concerns very
