ARMOR ALL BATHURST 12 HOUR – SNAP SHOT *2012 was the second year of the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour with outright GT3 specification cars eligible for competition *The interest internationally for the event was significant, with entries from Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Spain and Malaysia, along with Italian staff supporting the Australian Ferrari entry *The Erebus Racing/Black-Falcon collaboration was the most eagerly anticipated addition to the field, especially following Black-Falcon’s success in Dubai *National media interest in the event grew significantly in the second year and this trend is expected to continue in the future *Media was attracted to Bathurst from the USA, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

CLIPSAL 500 ADELAIDE GT RD 1 – SNAP SHOT *The Clipsal 500 Adelaide is South Australia’s biggest event and the largest (attendance-wise) Touring Car event in the world *2012 attracted a cumulative crowd of 263,400 across the four day carnival, with a Sunday crowd of 82,100 *Peter Hackett led for much of the 60 minute mini-enduro, before a coming together with a lapped car on the final lap saw him collect the wall, putting him out for the weekend *James Brock in his first SLS AMG GT3 performance and Australian GT Championship debut finished 2nd *The Australian GT Championship was a major support event with 30 cars nominated *The format saw two races over the weekend – 1 x 60 minute twilight race and 1 x 30 minute race prior to the V8 Supercars Clipsal 500 race
