WINTER SOLSTICE YOGA-AGES 16+ Solstice means the ascending of the sun from the Latin words sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still). After the winter solstice, the sun begins its ascent as the days become longer and the nights shorter in the perpetual cycle of the seasons. This extended yoga class is designed to help you reconnect with, and honor, the path that you're on. It is a time to reflect on what you've accomplished and consider what you wish to accomplish in the future. This is also a time of lowered energy as we experience the shortest day of the year is filling us with more of the stillness than normal. We use this time to focus on rest, healing, and new beginnings. All fitness levels. Bring your friend to yoga $1 (optional). No drop-ins will be accepted. Must register for the class.
