Amy Johnston, Executive Director
Amy has been with the Foundation since its early days in 2014, when it was a small organization with a big dream. She believes deeply in the power of community and has played a key role in shaping OCF into the thriving organization it is today. In her free time, Amy loves to travel, read, and spend time with her husband and their two (almost) grown children.
Andrew King, Program Coordinator
Andrew has worked as OCF’s Program Coordinator since 2017. As the organization’s second ever employee, he is immensely proud of the work OCF continues to do to provide a wide range of support services for cancer patients in our community. When not at work, Andrew is an avid birdwatcher, and enjoys exploring all Eugene has to offer with his wife.
Damon Garner, Development Coordinator
Having joined the foundation just months before the pandemic, Damon brings decades of retail and event management experience to his work at OCF. His expertise in creating strong relationships and driving successful operations has been instrumental in enhancing our fundraising efforts and expanding our reach. When not overseeing OCF events, Damon can be found tending bar at UO events or cheering on the Ducks from the stands.

About our Organization
NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS
Our Mission
To Empower, Strengthen, and Sustain those impacted by cancer in our community through education, support and financial assistance. When neighbors are helping neighbors, no one has to face cancer alone.
Who we are
The Oregon Cancer Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization located in Eugene. Our staff and a team of dedicated volunteers work together to provide support to local patients and their families during and after treatment.
How we help
Our programs include financial & transportation assistance, a wig boutique, resource library and navigation, support groups, educational classes & conferences and more!
How we’re different
We are the only local organization providing this level of support to cancer patients in our community. We receive no state or federal funding and all money that we raise stays here in Lane County.

For 13 years, the Oregon Cancer Foundation’s Bras for Cause campaign has rallied the community with its unique and colorful bra-decorating competition. This year’s campaign was especially remarkable, raising $50,250—the highest total in the event’s history.

CELEBRATING THE 2024 BRAS FOR CAUSE WINNERS
Participants competed in two categories: individual and business, with winners earning the honor of their names etched on a plaque and the coveted “Our Cup Runneth Over” trophy.
This year’s winners brought exceptional creativity and heart to the competition. In the business category, Chambers Construction once again demonstrated its community spirit and competitive streak by taking the top spot, with their entry titled “Lift Your Spirits Up,” inspired by the animated movie Up. This Eugene-based company, known for its work on meaningful construction projects in our community as well as being engaged with local organizations, has been a regular standout in the competition, also winning the top prize in 2020 and 2022. Their consistent participation underscores their commitment to giving back to the community they help build every day.
In the individual category, 11-year-old Eva Ingalls once again took the top prize with her bra design titled “Reflections of Courage.” Featuring many broken mirror pieces adhered to a silver bra, her creation symbolizes strength and beauty emerging from adversity.
Both Chambers Construction and Eva previously won in 2020–when Eva was just 6 years old. Her continued success proves that no person or contribution is too small to make a difference.
With this year’s record-breaking success and inspiring winners, Bras for Cause 2024 transformed decorated bras into powerful symbols of community and hope, embodying the Foundation’s motto: Neighbors Helping Neighbors. To learn more or to join the fun next year, visit brasforcause.org.

NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS—YOU ARE NOT ALONE

The Hope for the Holidays campaign is back for its second year, running from December 1-31st. This special fundraiser offers a simple way to support cancer patients in Lane County while spreading warmth and hope during the holidays.
The campaign highlights the very heart of what we do: helping neighbors in need. For many patients, the holidays come with added financial stress. From rent to heating bills, the weight of everyday expenses can feel overwhelming, especially for those navigating cancer treatment.
That’s where Hope for the Holidays comes in. The funds raised through this campaign provide direct financial assistance helping families to pay for essentials like utilities, rent and transportation. For some, it’s the difference between keeping the lights on or having a warm meal on the table.
Visit ocfhope.org to learn more and make a secure donation online. Whether it’s $10, $50, or more,
every dollar stays local to help our neighbors with cancer.
Many supporters choose to donate in honor or memory of loved ones, adding a personal and meaningful touch to their gift.
Give the gift of hope this season. Together, we can ensure that no one faces cancer–or the holidays–alone.
To donate by check, simply make your check payable to: Oregon Cancer Foundation and mail to PO Box 11004, Eugene, OR 97440 and be sure to put “hope for the holidays” in the memo line.
