You're the Best Abigail Callaway (inset), Dr. Phillips High art teacher, was recognized with a 2020 Extraordinary Educator Award by Full Sail University. The award honors K-12 instructors who create supportive classroom environments for their students' creative growth. Winter Park High Athletic Director Andy Chiles (top photo, right holding trophy) and the Wildcat Athletics Program were named the Varsity Cup Champions by the Orlando Sentinel. The program also finished second in the state (Class 7A Overall) for the Florida High School Athletic Association’s Floyd E. Lay Sunshine Cup All-Sports Award. Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada for its comprehensive annual financial report. The award is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

The award recognizes districts that demonstrate effectiveness and innovation in the use of educational technology; ensure equitable, accessible and appropriate learning opportunities for all students, aimed at improving outcomes and increasing engagement; and exhibit a progressive mindset when it comes to challenges in education and embrace new ideas and act on them.
