THE STATE ATTORNEY’S OFFICE FOR THE NINTH JUDICIAL CIRCUIT is seeking Assistant State Attorneys with a minimum of (7) years of criminal law experience to serve in our Homicide Unit. Prior experience as a prosecutor is preferred but is not required if the applicant has experience handling homicide cases as defense counsel. The candidate must have experience in conducting jury trials, evidentiary hearings, and handling expert testimonies. Applicant should be comfortable working closely with victim advocates, homicide survivors, and our law enforcement partners. Applicant will have a work record that reflects good judgment, a passion for justice and a commitment to the office’s mission of ensuring public safety through prosecution that is just, transparent, and fair to the people we serve.
