Interested in Ninth Circuit Issues? The Judicial Relations Committee Welcomes Your Ideas
Greetings:
You may be aware that the OCBA has many substantive and social committees available to join, but did you know about the Judicial Relations Committee? If not, you are missing a great opportunity to have lunch with the leadership of OCBA, local voluntary bar associations, fellow OCBA members and the judiciary.
Committee meetings focus on upcoming bar events, division updates from Administrative Judges, and Ninth Judicial Circuit policy updates. Attendees are also encouraged to present ideas to help develop or improve the relationship between the judiciary and the bar as well as bring questions or concerns about issues in the Ninth Circuit.
Judge Amy Carter and Michael Kelley, Esq. chair the committee. Please join us at our next meeting, April 13, 2023 at 12:15 p.m. We meet in the 23rd floor conference room of the Orange County Courthouse. For questions or more information email Judge Carter at ctjajr3@ocnjcc.org or Michael Kelley at MKelley@shutts.com. If you would like to join the committee, please email Ashley Velez at Ashleyv@ocbanet.org to be included on the email distribution list.
We hope to see you in April!
The Honorable Amy J. Carter, Criminal Judge, Orange County Court. She was elected in 2018 and has presided over civil and criminal divisions. She has been a member of the OCBA since 2012.
