Welcoming and engaging newcomers continues today with Ys across the country offering people the assistance they need to better transition into new communities.

YMCA World Service Since 1889, World Service has raised awareness of and financial support for the powerful work the global Y is doing every day, delivering life-changing programs that help people thrive and reach their full potential.

Through services such as refugee settlement and adult education classes like English as a Second Language, the Y helps people to be self-reliant, productive and connected.

Specifically, the Prairie Valley Family Y has a partnership with the YMCA of Honduras and supports them in their work improving youth rights. Ask us how you can help support this worthy cause.

As an interconnected global network, the Y has the resources and solutions to build bridges at home and abroad to make our changing communities better and stronger moving forward.

Volunteerism and Giving The generosity of others is at the core of our existence. There is no other volunteer organization quite like the Y. That’s because in 10,000 communities across the nation, we have the presence and partnerships to not just promise but deliver lasting personal and social change. As the nation’s leading non-profit for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y provides kids, adults, families and communities with vital support and opportunities to learn, grow and thrive. When you volunteer at the Y, you take an active role in bringing about meaningful, enduring change right in your own neighborhood.

YMCA Annual Giving The Y works to nurture potential in children and teens, improve the nation’s health and well-being, give back and support our neighbors. Every day, we work tirelessly to make sure everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. At the Y, strengthening community is our cause. No child, family or adult is turned away. This past year alone, the Taylor Family Y provided over $100,000 in financial assistance to more than 300 families. When you give to the Y, you help strengthen our community and move us all forward. Rest assured, your gift – whatever you can give – will make a meaningful impact in your very own community. Please consider making a gift this year.

Endowment Information The Heritage Club is a special group of men and women who believe in the Christian purpose and traditions of the YMCA and want to ensure this heritage is continued for future generations through their gifts and commitments to the YMCA Endowment Fund. It’s the same for seniors, single parents, lots of different people in lots of different circumstances – especially during difficult economic times.
