Shared racing heritage inspires a new TAG Heuer-Porsche timepiece
An enduring, shared passion for racing has inspired the sixth creation from TAG Heuer’s design partnership with Porsche.
In the mid-20th century, Porsche and TAG Heuer named the 911 Carrera and the Carrera timepiece for one of the world’s most dangerous races, the Carrera Panamericana. The Porsche 911 Carrera and the TAG Heuer Carrera have since become icons, recently celebrated in Paris on the occasion of the Porsche Carrera RS 2.7’s 50th anniversary.
After sharing several memorable achievements, the two partners have developed a special edition of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph to symbolise their shared racing heritage.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph X Porsche Orange Racing is a bold and sporty timepiece that upholds the quality and performance offered by the in-house Calibre Heuer 02, a movement manufactured entirely at TAG Heuer’s Chevenez facility.
The timepiece comprises 168 parts, including a column wheel and a vertical clutch. These features allow for exceptional chronometric performance and an impressive power reserve of 80 hours.
A black diamond-hard carbon case provides unfailing resistance and contrasts with the watch’s orange detailing, while a custom-designed oscillating weight pays homage to the Porsche steering wheel.
The stitching of the timepiece’s black calfskin strap references Porsche seat upholstery, with orange stitching and lining hinting at the marks racing cars make at high speed.

Released in February 2023, the new timepiece is available from TAG Heuer boutiques, e-commerce sites, and select retail partners.
