life water mUseUm, oeiras MUseU ágUA vIdA, oeIRAs this building is intended to symbolize a “Water temple”, able to contribute to an essential and inspiring architecture, which will have the task of making society aware to the importance of water in our lives.

Its casing, or outer layer, form an abstract kinetic façade, consisting of bottles suspended by flexible rods, which relate to the excess consumption of this essential commodity.

Its interior, in contrast, recreates the production of the cycles of water, forming in its core a “Factory of Rain”, which will be converted in to a “Permanent Installation” of this museum. the remaining floors, in “open space” are developed around the “Factory of Rain”, with the top floor dedicated to a restaurant over looking the main lobby, or rain room. oeiras, Portugal (2012). este edifício pretende simbolizar um “Templo da Água”, capaz de contribuir para uma Arquitetura essencial e inspiradora, à qual caberá a tarefa de conscencializar a sociedade para a importância da Água na nossa vida.

O seu invólucro, ou pele exterior, forma uma fachada cinética abstrata, constituída por garrafas suspensas por varões flexíveis, que nos reportam para o excesso de consumo deste bem essencial.

O seu interior, por oposição, recria a produção dos ciclos da Água, formando no seu núcleo central uma “Fábrica da Chuva”, que se converterá numa “Instalação Permanente” deste Museu. Os restantes pisos, em “open space” desenvolvem-se em torno da “Fábrica da Chuva”, sendo o último piso dedicado a um restaurante com visibilidade sobre o átrio principal, ou sala da chuva.
