“When we choose a musical to perform, we look for something lively that is age appropriate with catchy songs and music – if there is part singing it helps to add more colour and interest. It is extremely important for us that parts can be adapted, and broken down so that more children can be involved, and that we can add a few ‘in-house’ jokes and dialogue.

We found Cinderella & Rockerfella ideal, because it is up-beat with fantastic songs

and has an excellent script which also allowed the children to display their own individual talents in the talent show. It has a fantastic script, and we particularly liked the rock star theme as well as the

super ‘feel good’ songs. It was very easy to produce and to involve all the children in it, there were lots of opportunities to include dance moves and add instrumental parts too. Both the children and parents enjoyed the performance, it worked

brilliantly and I would recommend it.”

a complete production which needed nothing adding or taking away from it – it was perfect! It was a complete

package because OOTA had thought of everything, it made it a very enjoyable production to produce from beginning to end as we didn’t need to edit it – it was such fun! The children loved the catchy songs and the option for solos too.

The script had humour and pace – there were no weak moments in the script; songs were excellent (catchy and melodic); parts varied and had room for expansion; it was based on the classic text; a perfect length! Children and parents were

overwhelmed – it was a massive hit! Toad was amazing!

The performance of musical works involving drama, movement, narrative, or spoken dialogue to an audience (other than pupils and staff) requires a performance licence, even if it is a “free” performance. (Please note a Performing Rights Society (PRS) Licence does NOT cover musicals). Copyright regulations and licence requirements apply to customers worldwide.

We issue affordable performance licences to schools, churches, nurseries and other groups.

Copying Out of the Ark Music’s audio CDs is not permitted without obtaining a specific licence from the publisher.

Installation of audio CD tracks on to a computer is strictly forbidden without a licence – we can provide schools with a ‘Learning Platform Licence’.

File-sharing of any of our audio/backing tracks, CD ROM files, digital songbooks or MP3 files, is strictly prohibited. The purchaser is granted a limited licence, and files may only be shared with the pupils and teachers within your school or group setting.

The performance licence will permit the holder to: · Perform the musical on the dates applied for · Reproduce the song lyrics on printed paper, e.g. for programmes, to make transparencies for overhead projection and to display the lyrics on an interactive whiteboard or other type of screen.
