CONDITIONS OF SALE FOR AUCTION The following constitutes the entire terms and conditions on which property listed in the catalogue shall be offered for sale or sold by One Of A Kind Collectibles LLC. and any consignor of such property for whom we act as agent.

As used herein the term “bid price” means the price at which a lot is knocked down to the purchaser and the term “purchase price” means the aggregate of (a) the bid price, (b) A PREMIUM PAYABLE BY THE PURCHASER OF 18% OF THE BID PRICE and (c) Florida state or local sales tax if applicable.

This is an Online, Mail, Phone, Email and Fax Bid Auction. As of closing time printed below, the highest bidder shall be deemed to have purchased the offered lot in accordance with all of the conditions set forth herein and thereupon (a) assumes full risk and responsibility therefore (b) if requested will sign a confi rmation of purchase, and (c) will pay the purchase price in full or such part as we may require for all lots purchased. No lot may be transferred. All property shall be shipped at the purchaser’s expense. All autograph material in this sale is guaranteed genuine for the life of the original purchaser (unless otherwise stated or if contrary to other provisions of these terms). Any autograph item sold which is determined to be not authentic by two independent dealers or authenticators acceptable to both parties to the sale may be returned by the original buyer at any time for an immediate refund of the purchase price (only). Non-autograph items are guaranteed genuine for a period of twenty-one (21) days of receipt. Any declarations of lack of authenticity by any party must be made in writing Items may also be returned if the catalog description differs signifi cantly from the item’s actual state; such returns must be made within three (3) days of purchaser’s receipt of the lot(s). All returned lots must be in the same condition as shipped. All items are in very good condition unless stated otherwise.

All Lots sold by One Of A Kind Collectibles are accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. On any lot presented with a Certificate of Authenticity (“COA”) issued by One Of A Kind Collectibles, that warranty insures only to the original Bidder (as shown in Auctioneer’s records) “Bidder”. Bidder may not transfer the rights afforded under the COA and it is null and void when Bidder transfers or attempts to transfer the lot. The COA warranty is valid from date of the auction in which Bidder was awarded the lot to five (5) years after its purchase. The COA warranty is valid as to its attribution to the person or entity described or to the lot’s usage. The Bidder as well as their heirs, successors and assigns is also given an unconditional lifetime guaranteed that allows the present owner of any lot purchased through One Of A Kind Collectibles the right to consign with One Of A Kind Collectibles. When the lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (or its equivalent) from a third-party authentication provider, buyer has no right of return. On lots not accompanied by third-party authentication or under extremely limited circumstances not including authenticity (e.g. gross cataloging error), a Bidder who did not bid from the floor may request Auctioneer to evaluate voiding a sale; such request must be made in writing detailing the alleged gross error, and submission of the lot to Auctioneer must be preapproved by Auctioneer. A Bidder must notify the appropriate department head in writing of the Bidder’s request within three (3) days of the bidder’s receipt of the lot. Any lot that is to be evaluated for return must be received at the office of One Of A Kind Collectibles within 35 days after Auction. AFTER THAT 35 DAY PERIOD, NO LOT MAY BE RETURNED FOR ANY REASONS. Lots returned must be in the same condition as when sold and must include any Certificate of Authenticity. If a bidder wishes to challenge the Letter of Authenticity within the five (5) year warranty period, Bidder must present with the claim, authoritative written evidence that the lot is not authentic as determined by a known expert

in the field. If Auctioneer concurs that the lot is not as represented, Bidder shall be refunded their purchase price. If the Auctioneer denies the claim, the Bidder may file the dispute with the American Arbitration Association with locale in Miami Florida, Dade County, before a single selected Arbitrator selected by the American Arbitration Association. The American Arbitration Association arbitration shall be conducted under the provisions of the Federal Arbitration Act and the Bidder consents to jurisdiction in The State of Florida. The challenge to Authenticity must be brought within one (1) year if the Auctioneer denies the claim. After one (1) year, the Bidder hereby releases and discharges One Of A Kind Collectibles from any and all legal, equitable, administrative and/or other claims, counterclaims, demands, setoffs, defenses, accounts, suits, debts, dues, actions, causes of action, proceedings, arbitrations, damages, executions, judgments, findings, controversies and disputes, whether known or unknown or suspected or unsuspected, whether in law or equity, that the Bidder have or may have had against One Of A Kind Collectibles arising from or relating to any claim whatsoever. Specifically, the COA provided by One Of A Kind Collectibles, does not provide for incidental or consequential damages or other indirect damages. Any lot sold with a certificate of authenticity or other warranty from an entity other than Auctioneer is subject to such issuing entity’s rules and such conditions are the sole remedy afforded to Bidder. For information as to third party authentication warranties the bidder is directed to contact One Of A Kind Collectibles.

We have tried to accurately describe every item in this catalog. Condition description ranges are: fair, good, very good and fi ne. Fair being the lowest level and fi ne being the best condition. Substantial defects are noted; minor defects may not be mentioned. If any substantial defect not described in the catalog is discovered by the purchaser, the lot must be returned within two days. This is not an approval sale. Any return for any reason other than authenticity issues will not be accepted.

All items are to be paid for by (a) cash, (b) cashier check or (c) personal check made to “One Of A Kind Collectibles”, All sales are fi nal. No bid can be withdrawn at any time. All payment must be in U.S. dollars.

These Conditions of Sale and the purchaser’s and our respective rights and obligations hereunder are governed by Florida law. Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to the Agreement or the breach, termination or validity thereof, brought by or against One Of A Kind Collectibles LLC. The Arbitrator shall be empowered to order specifi c performance and to award consequential damages and pre-award interest, but shall not be empowered to award punitive damages. The arbitration shall be governed by the U.S. Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C. 1-16, and judgment upon the award rendered by the Arbitrator may be entered by any court having jurisdiction thereof. Each party shall bear its own attorney’s fees and expenses in connection with such proceedings and shall bear one-half of the Arbitrator’s fees and expenses.

These Conditions of Sale shall bind the successor and assigns of all bidders and purchasers and insure to the benefi t of our successors and assigns. No waiver, amendment or modifi cation of the terms hereof shall bind us unless specifi cally stated in a writing signed by us. If any part of these Conditions of Sale is for any reason invalid or unenforceable, the rest shall remain valid and enforceable.

We accept bids in advance of sale by Web, Telephone, Email, Fax or Mail. “Buy” bids will not be accepted; all bids must state the highest bid price the bidder is willing to pay. POLITICAL & JUDICIAL 1. James Madison. James Madison’s signed conclusion of letter to Dr. Calvin Jones subscription to the Farmers Magazine. This is the bottom portion of a letter which resides in the National Archives. The letter is written to a Dr Calvin Jones In a reference to the start and a subscription of the Framers Magazine. The bottom conclusion of a letter, framed with a copy of the top portion and a copy of the original broadside, which was also sent to Madison in reference to the magazine.

The letter from Madison reads in full, with retained portion underlined:“To Calvin Jones, Montpellier June 28. 1819 Sir.The Copy of your proposals for publishing “The Farmer’s Magazine” has been a good while in my hands,1 without obtaining subscriptions; owing doubtless to the number of agricultural publications less remote, as well as to other causes at present concurring. For myself I find it more and more expedient not [to] multiply engagements, especially those of indefinite continuation.2 Having much confidence in the source as well as value for the object of the “Farmers Magazine” I shall with pleasure express both by taking the publication for one year, without the formality of a subscription; and will remit the price as soon as the receipt. of a number shall inform me that the work is issuing from the press. I tender you my friendly respects. James Madison” Calvin Jones (1775–1846) was born in Massachusetts where he trained to be a physician. In 1795 he moved to North Carolina, served as an officer in the state militia, as a member of the state legislature, 1799, 1802, and 1807, and as a trustee of the University of North Carolina.

Between 1808 and 1815 he was co-publisher of the Raleigh Star. In 1832 he retired from his medical practice and moved to Bolivar, Tennessee, where he became a planter. Always interested in agricultural science, he floated the idea of a farmer’s magazine in 1819, without success.

Cabinet. U.S. Minister to England. ALS as President 1pg. 4to, Washington October 21, 1818. Apparently to Gen. Jacob Brown whose name appears on the verso. Four long narrow stains show through although they do not hurt the writing which is nice and bold. “ You will of course say nothing on any of the subjects relating to individuals, on which we conferr’d when you were here, as till a measure is taken, it is always open to reconsideration & new views. I hope you arrive safe & found your family in good health.” Framed and matted with portrait of Monroe.

3. John Quincy Adams Brings War of 1812 Destitute Seaman back to the US. Important and fascinating letter to

Thomas Aspinwall, Esq., Consul U.S. London, regarding purchases and payments, and the return to the United States of the destitute American seamen. Adams sends 1200 pounds sterling to pay for their transport back to the US. Letter in full” Thomas Aspinwall Esq Consul of the Us London,13 Graven street 10 Jan 1816 Dear Sir. Conformably to the request in your letter of yesterday. I now enclose and order upon Mrs Baring Brothers and Co for 1200 pds Sterling to pay for the passage to the United States of the seaman which you have contacted and am with much respect, Dear Sir, your humble and Obed.t Serv.t John Quincy Adams.

5. Martin Van Buren. ALS written

January 31, 1810 in which Martin Van Buren refers to a legal argument will be coming on Tuesday and that he did not want the person to think he neglected him. The letter is framed and matted with portrait of Van Buren.

8. Millard Fillmore Traces his Family Tree. Incredible and unique 2 pages hand written

by Fillmore discussing his family Tree. On one page he even outlines his genealogy. Beautifully framed.

ALS, 1p. 4to, Buffalo, Sept. 25, 1869. To A.M. Caverly, Esq. With stamped addressed envelope in his hand.

Caverly had asked Fillmore for some information about Fillmore's grandfather, Dr. Abithar Millerd, "as he spelled his name he regrets that he can give very little information about him but on a third page of the double letter sheet, he has written out the names and births of his children, as far as he knows them, "All of whom are dead except_ Jessie who resides at Milwaukee Wisconsin. I recollect seeing my grandfather when a small boy and hear him say he was of Welch descent. The family I think lived in Warwick Rhode Island." He suggests that Caverly seek the assistance of the Kinsleys in Bennington, Vt., who might give more information. A most interesting letter.

Letter refers to some of his papers and that … except to have a few letters and other papers to which it may be desirable to refer at some future day” and that if he” feels inclined to go out for Christmas. ..I shall go down Saturday or Monday because the cars are so much wronged and so uncomfortable the day preceding Christmas I may unless it will be inconvenient to you present myself at your home Saturday evening give my regards to Mr. Wentworth affectionately yours Franklin Pierce “

POLITICAL & JUDICIAL 10. Buchanan Presidential Appointment and Hawaiian Archive.

A Scarce Hawaiian Appointment by President James Buchanan 1) This is an appointment to the Consul of Hawaii in Honolulu

by President Buchanan for a John A Parker of Virginia, dated October 2, 1860. The document is framed with nice large bold signature of Buchanan, some fold lines, toning and a couple small repairs on back, otherwise a nice looking document and rare to find any Hawaiian documents from this period.

2) Multiple signatures of Queen Liliuokalani, one tastefully framed with color photo of the Queen and sheet music, Aloha OE. Liliuokalani was the last reigning monarch of the Hawaiian Islands (1838–1917) who actively pursued the preservation of the islands for their native residents. In 1898, Liliuokalani was forced to give up her throne when Hawaii was annexed to the United States. Liliuokalani is a very rare autograph, especially as princess regent.

3) A scarce CDV photo of Queen Emma I (January 2, 1836 – April 25, 1885) was queen consort of King Kamehameha IV from 1856 to his death in 1863. She ran for ruling monarch against King Kalakaua but was defeated. This photo was taken in 1865 when Queen Emma visited England and Queen Victoria. It is backmarked John Watkins Photographer of the Queen, London.

4) Uncommon Hawaiian Newspapers from Honolulu. Ka Elele Poakolu. (Honolulu) 1880-1881.This was short lived paper that lasted a little more than 1 year and on a few dates produced both a paper in Hawaiian and English language. This set of both papers was printed on October 13th, 1880.

5) 2 autographs of Lieutenant General John McAllister Schofield, American soldier who held major commands during the American Civil War. He later served as U.S. Secretary of War and Commanding General of the United States Army. He had been sent to Hawaii in 1872 and had recommended the establishment of a naval base at Pearl Harbor.

6) William Francis Quinn signature as the first Governor (1959-1962) of Hawaii, he was also Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, from 1957 to 1959. Originally appointed to the office by President Dwight D. Eisenhower, Quinn was the last executive of an era of Republican rule over the Hawaiian Islands which began during the overthrow of the monarchy in 1893.

7) Sanford B. Dole first president of the Republic of Hawaii (1844–1926). Signed card "S. F. Dole”. Dole (April 23, 1844 – June 9, 1926) was a lawyer and jurist in the Hawaiian Islands as a kingdom, protectorate, republic and territory.

8) Joseph Boyd Poindexter (April 14, 1869 – December 3, 1951) was the eighth Territorial Governor of Hawaii and served from 1934 to 1942. Signed card “Joseph Boyd Poindexter, Governor of Hawaii Honolulu, Aug.21.1936”

March 6, 1849. Letter of introduction to Persifor F. Smith, in California sending a son of one of Buchanan’s close friends who was a soldier who fought in Mexico and now going To California. Letter in full: Permit me to introduce to you the bearer hereof Mr. William J Ankrim who is about to proceed to California. Washington. A typed letter signed “Harry S Truman” on White House letterhead. He wrote to Dr. G. Bromley Oxnam, the Bishop of the Methodist Church in New York: “Please accept my thanks for your letter of December seventeenth. I had already seen in the press the answer of the Council of Bishops of the Methodist Church to the charges of the Un-American Activities Committee but am glad to have for ready reference the complete text of the release prepared for the papers of December fifth.

The great American public will be strengthened by the assurance that Communism has not infiltrated the churches of the nation. I deeply appreciate your good wishes, which needless to say I heartily reciprocate.”

Oxnam, a leftist, was elected as the Bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1936. He was associated with a number of political groups, such as the Council of American-Soviet Friendship, that were later exposed as Communist fronts. In 1947, Truman signed the infamous Loyalty Order that was supposed to root out Communist influence in the Federal government. The House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC) was formed in 1938 to investigate Communist activities within the United States. In 1945, it became a standing committee seeking to unearth communist and other subversive influences in all areas of society, including, famously, many artistic and cultural institutions. After HUAC investigated Oxnam, it announced unanimously that it had no record of Communist membership by Bishop Oxnam. The letter is in very fine condition.

This large binder collection includes Seven John F. Kennedy funeral items. Represented are the funeral service announcement for November 25, 1963, 12 Noon at St. Mathews Cathedral; two Mass cards with formal envelope; the error Mass card which was the first one prepared but then rejected by the First Lady. A poignant and important hand-written note on White House Note card by Mrs. Kennedy to Chief Knudsen with original envelope in Full “To Chief Knudsen Who took so many wonderful pictures that gave the President such joy - with deep appreciation - Jacqueline Kennedy” (with original transmittal White House envelope). Also over 50 invitations and menus and programs form all of the events that Knudsen participated in over the years as one of the White house official photographer’s. A fascinating snippet of history as one looks through the various White house items. Robert LeRoy Knudsen, was an official a White House photographer from 1946 until 1974.

Mr. Knudsen worked on the White House photography staff in five administrations: Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon. Among his most celebrated photographs were the first pictures of John F. Kennedy's son, John Jr., walking in the Oval Office at the age of 18 months in May 1962. Many of his presidential photos are considered iconic and where represented in Look Time, Life, The Saturday Post and Ladies Horne Journal. Some of his Washington, D.C. scenic photos became the U.S. Beautification Stamps issued by the U,S. Postal Service in 1969.

Rare John F. Kennedy Handwritten letter written on Navy Department, Submarine Chasing Training Center, Miami , Florida and envelope, signed as Lt. John F. Kennedy while stationed out of Miami with the Submarine Chasing Training Center, doing PT Shakedowns. It is almost unobtainable to find anything from John F. Kennedy, during the which relates to the Pt. Boats he was on, especially out of Miami. He was sent to Miami just 8 months after the famous and pivotal Pt 109 incident, for a period of about 3 months, from mid March through May. The lore of John F. Kennedy and his relationship to PT boats is believed by many historians to be the main stepping stone to fame that would later lead to his presidency. While at Miami, Kennedy received the Navy and Marine Corps Medal for the heroism he had displayed in the rescue of survivors from his sunken PT-boat. After suffering injuries in a fall, he underwent hospitalization at the U.S. Naval Hospital, Chelsea, Massachusetts (May 1944-March 1945), and, ultimately, retired from active duty on 1 March 1945. This is the only letter we could find any record of written on this Navy Department, Submarine Chasing Stationary out of Miami Fl. It is also one of very few letters that have come to market That are war date mentioning PT boats. This would be a centerpiece of a Kennedy or presidential collection.

What makes this letter especially appealing is that Kennedy also adds below the printed stationary PT Shakedown, as well as writes on the envelope his possibly unique free frank return address Lt. J. F. Kennedy, PT. Shakedown SCTC, Miami, Fl. Free. The letter in full written on top Pt. Shakedown (imprinted stationary: Navy Department, Submarine Chasing Training Center, Miami , Florida) is to a “Mr. Galline, Thank you for your for your kindness in sending the travel books and for the Easter card. Measuring 4.75" x 3.25", Kennedy has signed his name at the lower left corner of this "application for license to operate motor vehicles," which is printed on a computer punchcard. This application was completed on November 23, 1964, just one year and a day since his brother, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated in Dallas and while Bobby was still U.S. attorney general. As is the case with punch cards, the document has small perforations throughout, none affecting the signature.

1872. Letter was written to Charles A. Dana, publisher of the New York Sun. The letter reads: “Among the reasons for thankfulness today, I emphasize the kindness & courtesy of the Press towards me, during a period of no inconsiderable trouble. This has been especially true of the Sun and; the very lucid and skillful ?? of a meeting last night, where for various reasons, was difficult to be presented in its true genius, adds to my obligations.

I beg of you, dear sir, to allow me to make a strong expression of my sense of your kindness to me; kindness without impairing that fidelity to truth, which should animate Journalism.” Beecher was a Congregationalist minister, social reformer and outspoken supporter for the abolition of slavery. In 1872, Beecher was the subject of a story published in the Woodhull & Claflin’s Weekly alleging that he had had an adulterous affair with the wife of a former associate named Theodore Tilton. In 1874, Tilton filed adultery charges against Beecher and the subsequent trial, which ended in a hung jury, was one of the most widely reported American trials of the century.

Hughes was a lawyer, statesman and Republican politician from New York. He was Governor of New York (1907-1910); Associate Justice of the Supreme Court (1910-1916); U.S. Secretary of State (1921-1925) and Chief Justice of the U.S. (1930-1941).

Conkling, Roscoe – Autograph letter signed (5 x 8) on letterhead of Law Office of Roscoe Conkling, dated November 4, 1882. letter is written to a gentleman in Virginia seeking to engage Conkling to represent him in a case in Washington. Conkling writes: “the only objection to undertaking your case is that being already provided with counsel and competent counsel, I doubt if you can afford to pay me for going to Washington and arguing the case having first studied and prepared it. I should be compelled to require a retainer, and fair compensation for the services and my belief is that Mr. Coleman will present your case ably and fully.” Conkling was a well-respected lawyer and is the last person to refuse a U.S. Supreme Court appointment after he had been confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

HISTORICAL 82. Horace Greely. The sui generis Greeley writes on his New York Tribune letterhead to U.S.

Senator William A. Buckingham (former governor of Connecticut) "Very grave misrepresentations of my testimony before your Committee having obtained currency, 1 will thank you to direct your stenographer to furnish me that small portion of it only that relates to or affected Messrs, Eastman and Goring, Assemblymen from Dutchess County." (Harvey Gridley Eastman, a first cousin of Geroge Eastman, Kodak founder and Edward M.Goring.) Since Greeleys penmanship was known for its notorious decipher-ability, and because of the import of this letter, it was dictated to another.

(An employee once fired by Greeley is said to have shown his letter of discharge for years in applying for other jobs. Greeley's penmanship was so illegible that the man represented it as a letter of recommendation.) This letter refers to a Senate committee hearing of the same date January 6, 1872) which, according to newspaper stories also of that same date, was concerned with charges of "malfeasance in the management of the New York Custom House." Among the witnesses was Horace Greeley of the Tribune. 'Greeley stated that the office had been used by the dominant party to oppress a faction of the party ... to coerce electors by promises and threats, ere." 'Ihe import of this affair is enhanced by the fact that the collector's position at the New York Custom House was the highest-paying position in the entire U.S. Civil Service; On the verso is a signed note in the hand of Buckingham directing that Greeley's request be complied with. Letter is one 5x8 page (left edge irregular) in fine condition, A letter worthy of research.

Bridge was Carnegie’s secretary and ghost writer and biographer at one point and was also a member and president of the authors club. The book has a tipped in photographic composite of membership, 1922 letter accepting Bridge's resignation, dinner menus, and small collection of ephemera regarding the Author's Club including confidential correspondence to him. Quarto. xvi, [iv], 3-588, [3] pages. Decorative wood-block engravings above each title head.

Publisher's straight-grain brown morocco, deep and decorative black stamping to front and spine, gilt center piece of the 'light of learning' to cover, gilt spine lettering, floral patterned end papers, top edge gilt all others untrimmed. Howe writes: “Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord,” signing underneath, “Julia Ward Howe, Born in New York City—May 27th 1819.” Two vertical folds, one through a single letter of signature, uniform toning, a bit of light soiling, and light show-through from a strip of mounting remnant to reverse top edge, otherwise fine condition.

by Clemens, signed within the text, “Mark Twain,” one page, 5.75 x 8.75, circa 1908. Clemens writes down a ‘compliment’ on a sheet labeled “4” at the top, entitled “Little Montana Girl’s Compliment.” In full: “She was gazing thoughtfully at a photograph of Mark Twain on a neighbor’s mantelpiece. Presently she said, reverently, ‘We’ve got a Jesus like that at home, only ours has more trimmings.’” In fine condition, with a chip to the top edge. The Lotos Club, one of the oldest literary clubs in the United States, hosted a dinner in honor of longtime member Samuel L. Clemens on January 11, 1908, at which he announced that he had ‘become a collector of compliments’ and read a few to the others guests. The following day’s New York Times mentions that he began by reading compliments from Albert Bigelow Paine, W. D. Howells, and Thomas Edison, before going on to read the “Little Montana Girl’s Compliment.” The NY Times quotes the compliment as presented here, but replaces “Jesus” with ‘John the Baptist.’ This manuscript was likely Clemens’s reading copy for the event, as the “4” page number at the top corresponds with the Times article’s description of the order of his reading at the event. A wonderful piece that showcases Clemens’s humor and quick wit.

Bridge wrote a best seller and one of the most important books on the partnership of Carnegie and Frick with his book The Inside History of the Carnegie Steel Company (1903); he also wrote Bridge's Millionaires and Grub Street (1931) contains an intimate, laudatory description of Frick as well as Carnegie. In 1853-65, he introduced use of the Pullman sleeping cars, organized the military telegraph department, and was active in transporting troops during the Civil War. The foundation is well known for building public libraries. This historic bond is dated 1901, the very year that he sold his company. Scarce circa 1967 Apple Records promotional wristwatch, measuring 1.5 x 1.5 one a 9? long suede black band. The back of the watch is engraved “Old England,” and the band is stamped in gold, “Made in England, Old England, Copyright Old England Watches Ltd 1967.” Includes the original gift box with the cover detached at the hinge, also gilt-stamped “Old England” and reading, “Original design by Richard Loftus,” along the side. In fine condition, with a few light marks and dings; watch’s function is temperamental but may work intermittently. This was one of just three officially licensed Beatles watches produced during the 1960s, and by some estimates only about one hundred were manufactured. 204. Clark Gable. On September 7, 1929, "Hawk Island' (now apparently in revival) opened on Broadway with Clark Gable in the principal role of Gregory Sloane.

On an 8-1/2" x14" "Salary List" form, all the cast members are listed along with their weekly salaries. That Gable was the star, is evidenced by his figure of $400 a week, twice that of the second highest salary listed. Following each name, the actor has signed, Gable being at the top. Pay is for the week ending September 28, 1929. Other signing actors who later "made it" in the movies include Henry O'Neill and Charles Halton. This is thought to be one of the earliest known signatures of Gable extant, preceding by a year the onset of his Hollywood career. Comes with color copy promotional piece with scene from the production showing Gable in formal wear, wielding a pistol, while O'Neill and others look on. Also a vintage newspaper ad listing the cast.

Her divorce from Arthur Miller was finalized in January, and her increasing dependence on alcohol and prescription medications began to take a toll on her health; two days before writing this check, she was discharged from Polyclinic Hospital following gallbladder surgery, which was her fifth hospital stay in a ten month period. A month later, Joe DiMaggio unsuccessfully asked Marilyn to remarry him in an attempt to save her.

a three-year drought by rattling off 102 wins and knocking off the crosstown rival Giants for the World Series crown. From that special campaign comes this clean, gorgeous, official American League (Harridge) baseball in EX-MT condition with dark stampings. There are 22 signatures in black fountain ink that vary in strength but average 5.5 to 6 out of 10, with only a few that are lighter. The sweet spot is truly sweet, highlighted

by Lou Gehrig and genuine Joe McCarthy autographs (many balls from this era have clubhouse versions).

Those two signatures, in particular, rate 6.5/10.

Others included here are Lazzeri, Ruffing, Gomez, Brown, Selkirk, Rolfe, Dickey and Combs. The only drawback is the absence of rookie sensation Joe DiMaggio, who was instrumental to the team's fortunes that summer.
