John Hancock, partly-printed document, filled out by Hancock, with his last name incorporated into the text of the document “Hancock”. This one page document, approximately 9x4.5 inches, dated “Boston Febr. 7, 1762” in the full hand of Hancock in place of his Uncle Thomas (July 17, 1703 – August 1, 1764) a merchant in colonial Boston. A bill of lading for a ship in Boston Harbor. In part: “Shipped by the Grace of God, in good Order and well Condition’d, by Thomas Hancock (the uncle of John Hancock)... in and upon the good Ship called Cumberland whereof is Mafter, under God, for this prefent Voyage, James Dickey and now riding at Anchor in the “Harbour of Boston” and by God’s Grace bound for “Chignecto” to fay, “Five Hogsheads of Beans & Twenty Eight Barrells of Pork.”This document is in fine condition, with scattered mild toning. A wonderful opportunity to own the original hand writing, including the incorporated surname of “Hancock”, MIN BID $100 from the man himself

English-born Quaker (1644–1718) and founder of the colony that became the State of Pennsylvania. Manuscript DS, signed “Wm Penn,” one page, 14.75 x 11.5, October 29, 1701. Penn grants 104 acres of land in the county of Philadelphia to Samuel Hiney. Signed at the bottom by Penn. Pinned to the lower left of the document is a smaller manuscript receipt, dated September 8, 1701, signed “James Logan, Recvr Genl,” reading, “Recvd of Capt Saml Hinney One hundred pounds by a Bill drawn on Samuel Carpenter and by him Accepted in full paymt for one hundred Acres of Land lying in Paoconinck in the County of Philadia being part of the Overplus Lands of that Township and Sold by ye sd Capt Hinney by the Propry Wm Penn Esq, for whose Use I Say Recvd. £100:0:0.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds, a punch hole between two letters of signature, scattered light toning and soiling, and a few strokes of Penn’s signature a shade or two light. 54.ETHAN ALLEN SIGNATURE WITH PRINT Ethan Allen (1738-1789). Cut signature, “Humble Sevt Ethan Allen”. Matted and framed with small engraving depicting The Capture of Fort Ticonderoga. Provenance: Charles Hamilton, with his wax seal on the backing of the frame. Allen a Revolutionary War patriot, noted for his seizure along with the Boys of Fort Ticonderoga May 1775. He failed to capture Montreal and was himself imprisoned and later released in 1778.Ethan Allen material is quite scarce and quite valuable, his letters can go for over $20,000.

Signer of the Declaration Of Independence Stephen Hopkins Pay Order Signed. One page, 6.5” x 4.25”, Newport, May 12, 1755, ordering Thomas Richardson to pay George Lanton “sixty nine pounds six shillings & six pence . . . in full . . . for the French mens boat” & charge the same to the colony.” Countersigned by Jonas Nichols, Thomas Cranston, and Peter Bours. Smoothed folds with tears and top corners ripped with yellowing.
