My Inspiration Shivam Singh, MEA (Hanoi) The place of a mother is irreplaceable in child's life and her contributions are immeasurable and it surely can't be expressed in a few words. When I think about my mother, a rainbow of emotions fills my heart. How she transformed from a charming story -teller to a strict disciplinarian to an emotional mother who could not bear tears in the eye of her children is still unfathomable to me. Sometimes it is hard to believe how Mummy managed to wear so many hats at a time. Taking care of her five children (her own and extended family) was no small feat, considering the paucity of resources that we had.

She could always understand and write on the intricate layers of human emotions and relationship. However she had to give-in to the tough job of being a mother and sacrifice her literary interest and hobby. Only when all of us grew up and were well-settled in life did she pick up the pen and how well she did. Be it the beautiful poems short stories, her works has cost a spell on everyone. Her literary exploit have been unstoppable over the past of few years and has authored many books. Now that she is inching slowly towards the retired life, l strongly believe that her best is yet to come. truemediadelhi@gmail.com
