Keeping her culture in the spotlight Adeola “Eunice” (Oladele) Fayehun ’07, founder and publisher of AfricanSpotlight.com A native of Nigeria, Adeola Fayehun first arrived to the United States in 2003 to begin her freshman year as a journalism student at Olivet College. Now a resident of New York, Fayehun established AfricanSpotlight.com, a news and social platform for Africans living in America to connect with one another and discuss current events in their native countries. Fayehun is also the host of “Keeping it Real With Adeola,” a news and talk show produced for AfricanSpotlight.com.
Father of Microsoft Windows NT Dave Cutler ’65, Senior Technical Fellow, Microsoft Dave Cutler ’65 is the key technical brain behind the 50 million lines of code constituting Microsoft’s flagship product, the Windows operating system. Generally considered one of the top programmers worldwide, Cutler was one of eight laureates to receive a National Medal of Technology and Innovation from President George W. Bush in 2008. In 2012, Cutler joined the Xbox team at Microsoft and will help grow the game console into a complete home entertainment device.
His Red Arrows Went Pink to Tackle Cancer Noel Dean ’91, Lowell High School Football Coach When Noel Dean ’91 first launched the “Pink Arrow Pride Project” as a service opportunity for his football players, he had no idea how far it would reach or how many lives it would touch. Now in its fourth year, the project has risen close to $1 million for Gilda’s Club of Lowell, and was even chronicled in NBC’s “Today Show.” For his efforts, Dean was honored with the American Football Coaches Association Power of Influence Award.
