ENROLLMENT

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

| e Class of 2024 earned over $7.5 million in college scholarships. Of the 38 graduates, 95% are pursuing post-secondary education and 5% are entering the workforce.

| e Class of 2024 included one Lilly Endowment Scholarship Recipient and 14 Academic All-State Honorees.

| In the Class of 2024, 14 of the 38 graduates achieved the Indiana College Core 30 through Ivy Tech Community College.

HONORS DIPLOMA

In the Class of 2024, 29 of the 38 graduates (75%) earned Indiana Academic Honors Diplomas.

CLASS SCHEDULE

OA operates on a two-semester schedule with 8 class periods meeting three days a week and 4 class periods meeting two days a week on block days. Classes begin at 8:20 AM and end at 3:20 PM.

e enrollment for 2024-2025 is 142, with approximately 42% male and 58% female. Students come from over 15 di ff erent middle schools in five counties in southeastern Indiana and southwestern Ohio. Approximately 90% of students are Catholic and 10% are of other denominations or faiths.

FACULTY & ADMINISTRATION

42% of faculty members have advanced degrees. A student to teacher ratio of 9:1 and average class size of 13 provide a highly personalized approach to learning.

DRESS CODE

e everyday uniform includes khaki or navy tailored pants (men/women), plaid skirt (women), and embroidered navy or white OA polo or white oxford shirts. Everyday outerwear may be navy, gray, white, or black 1/4 zips or crew neck sweatshirts and should be branded with the OA logo. Hoodies may only be worn on spirit days. Formal uniform for men includes navy pants, white oxford shirt with navy tie and OA vest or navy blazer and for women includes a plaid skirt, white oxford shirt and OA vest or navy blazer.

SERVICE

A total of 60 hours of service and volunteer activities are expected of all students during their four years at OA. Students are involved in volunteer and service activities reflective of the Franciscan Sponsorship Values. Students who reach 100 service hours will be recognized with a Centennial Service Award, and students who reach 500 service hours will be recognized with the Franciscan Service Award.

INTERNATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Oldenburg Academy students will have the opportunity to participate in the Assisi Pilgrimage that will be held in the Spring of 2025. OA partners with the Faces and Our Cultures Exchange Program with students from Guatamala.

ACADEMICS

ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSES

Oldenburg Academy o ff ers 12 Advanced Placement courses. AP courses are more heavily weighted in terms of GPA due to the advanced nature of the information covered. ese courses o ff er students the opportunity to do college level work while they are still in high school. Students earn college credit hours based on their scores on the National Advanced Placement Exams taken in May each year. AP courses are listed on the course list.

DUAL CREDIT COURSES

Oldenburg Academy o ff ers 11 Dual Credit courses in partnership with Ivy Tech Community College. Dual Credit is an option for high school students to simultaneously take college classes while in high school, to receive college credit, and to fulfill high school requirements. Current Dual Credit course o ff erings include Anatomy & Physiology (101 & 102), Finite Math, AP Calculus, English Literature, AP English Literature, Advanced Speech Communications, Introduction to Interpersonal Communication, Pre-Calculus (136 & 137), Biology II, American Literature, & AP English Language (111 & 215).

COLLEGE TO CAREER READINESS

Each senior participates in a workbased learning internship or capstone project to culminate their high school experience and become familiar with real-world applications of their intended college major. Students are challenged to go above and beyond the textbook and apply their knowledge from the past four years assisting them to narrow down their college major, thus preparing them for college, all the way to their career.
