“I love Belmont because I know it is equipping me for the real world, but it will always be a community I can come back to. Belmont is preparing me to go into the world as a professional, ready for the business world and to follow my personal aspirations.”

Belmont awards a variety of academic merit scholarships to qualified admitted freshmen each year. We make it easy to apply… in fact, your application for admission serves as your application for merit scholarships. Recipients of the University’s most competitive and highest merit-based scholarships represent approximately the top 2 percent of the freshman applicant pool and must have completed the application file by December 1. General freshman academic merit scholarships do not require the December 1 deadline; admitted students are considered for these awards on a rolling basis following the offer of admission. General freshman academic merit scholarships range from $3,000 to $10,000 annually. Admitted freshmen with academic credentials that meet or exceed the University’s freshman class profile (see page 1) are considered competitive candidates for general academic merit scholarships. General freshman academic merit scholarship notification is made via U.S. Mail immediately following the offer of admission.
