In my final year project I wanted to reflect my passion for the arts of our country, focusing on the crafts of the jungle. Likewise, I looked for an iconic natural landscape of our Amazon, which is being degraded more than conserving, the productive landscape of the Nanay River basin handicrafts. This is how I decided to carry out a project focused on the sustainability of an ancestral productive activity in a natural landscape.

SITE The theme to be developed in the project focuses on in granting knowledge, value, innovation and recognition to the artisans around the Nanay river basin in Loreto. Through a place which can gather the associations of artisans with the public sector to receive the financial support they need, beyond bonds or materials; as well as with academic sector, in search of innovation in the processes and final production; with the industry tourism, taking this activity to the same populated centers, and not moving them away and concentrating its administration and marketing in the city of Iquitos as it is currently managed and finally with the same cultural and productive landscape of the Amazon, which is very rich in resources which are overexploited unsustainable way through an activity ancestral and in harmony with nature as it is craft and artistic practice. That is why the understanding of the landscape nature and its dynamics lead to respond through an architecture that is modulated by environment, climatic and productive conditions of the activity to promote. It will search meeting places for production, academia and visitors and their relationship with nature. Thus, it seeks to promote productive activity, connect the different associations of artisans, add value to their lines of work and increase the competitiveness of its final products in the market

The theme of the workshop was an architectural project with a purpose within a specific plan for the district of Miraflores. Where, due to my interest in revaluing the historical and cultural heritage, I decided to focus the project on remembering the Miraflores artist Cristina Galvez, and connecting the legacy of her house, her workshop, with a school and exhibition of her work.

Miraflores was chosen as the study and urban analysis district. Through a specific plan, the area to be intervened with urban-architectural projects was delimited with the aim of revaluing the unknown heritage of the district and promoting economic-cultural activities.

11

The project is a Sculpture School in memory of the Peruvian artist and sculptor Cristina Gálvez. Who taught classes from her home workshop in Miraflores around 1965. Considered within the modern sculpture of Peru, Cristina incorporated a lot in her metallic sculptures, threatening, tense and thin forms, considered as a conceptual part of the project and as a permanent work of the exhibition.

The school is part of a cultural tour previously proposed for the district of Miraflores, which seeks to revalue the district's forgotten heritage and cultural assets. Where our project is part of the cultural asset of the Roma Triangle. The project is located at the auction of Alfredo León street. It is related to the aforementioned route through an urban intervention connected to the sculptor's workshop, considered a property of local value.

14

02 _ LA ESCUELA DE ESCULTURA The main strategy of the project was to physically and visually connect the program through a meeting patio for school users, without losing the character of an outdoor exhibition. In addition, intermediate spaces were established towards the patio, which are articulated by an exterior circulation at all levels, thus regulating the transition from public activities to more private ones. The intention was to provide spaces that reactivate the area with mixed uses. So, we understood the school as an opportunity to promote art, not only from workshops for the public, but also as a place for research, exhibition and development for artists, teachers and students.

Being located in an industrial area, the first gesture for this area was to reinterpret what an industry means in a residential neighborhood, and it was sought to propose a new cultural meaning through the materiality and flexibility of steel architecture for a cultural center that involves workshops and commerce for young people and become: "a cultural factory for the commercial, cultural and artistic exchange of the neighborhood".

02 _ LA fÁbrica CULTURAL CONCEPT In an industrial area of one of the most populated and commercial districts of Lima, the project seeks to connect the commercial and industrial uses of the area through a program that allows a circuit within the reuse of materials, for use in craft workshops. that can be exhibited and sold within the same cultural center. closing the production cycle. Art workshops are proposed which work visually in conjunction with the void of the central courtyard that functions as an extension of the auditorium. So that when a greater capacity is estimated, the auditorium opens to the building and extends to the street, becoming a single large multipurpose space. This being the concept around the entire project, accompanied by a metal structure that provides a change of identity for the meaning of industrial in the neighbors.

As part of my interests in my free time I like to research about growing vegetables and ornamental plants at home through hydroponics. This is how in workshop 7 in the midst of the 2020 pandemic I decided to adapt the social housing project to an expanded multifamily with common green areas but with sufficient distance between homes to maximize ventilation and generate growing spaces from the homes themselves and as a whole.

POST COVID 19 HOUSING This pandemic has shown that it is the homes themselves that do not satisfy the need for work and recreation in them. Without open spaces, with reduced ventilation and natural lighting, the overcrowding of many vertical units loses humanity. The new post-pandemic housing complex needs common spaces that allow recreation at an average distance, but also purify the environment and generate a self-sustaining activity for the community. In an industrial and high-trade area, typologies of agriculture are proposed urban for the area, generating added value to conventional housing as a business opportunity for residents. In addition to creating its own identity with the whole, and above all with the place. Housing has evolved from just a -place of rest- to the place of study and even as a -source of work- so which should spawn an activity that involve these 3 needs.

The distribution of the modules is based on the implementation of an aquaponics wall in the kitchen, next to the entrance as part of the functioning of the spaces and not only as a ornamental addition. In this way, the distribution of spaces from the kitchen and a guest bathroom that, due to the post-pandemic effects, are the new spaces of welcome at home. The assembly of the 8 housing typologies stems from the union of 4 houses from a common patio. alternating green terraces on the roofs of some typologies, of way that public space is presented at different scales in the 3 levels of the assembly.

Within the Lima Ambiental team, a proposal was presented for the Urban 95 challenge on an environmental education and urban recovery proposal for the Los Olivos park neighborhood, next to the N4 Fe y Alegría school. The project was aimed at early childhood from 0 to 5 years old with the support of neighbors and school teachers, from the beginning of the process, between surveys, meetings and design proposals.

With a mural on the sidewalk and on the school wall, along with green spaces that improve air quality in the area and are safe for children. The second stage of the proposal was the intervention in the same park in front of the school, where furniture was implemented to reactivate the park, between games and rest. I collaborated as a volunteer in the organization AMA PERU for the project "Cosechando Ollas" which consisted of the design of a communal garden that works in conjunction with the common kitchen "Madres Transparentes" to support their own supply and stop depend on external donations. In visits to the place, the potential for connection with the roof was observed, since the only access to the kitchen is by the ladder from the currently disused roof. Low cost and recycled materials were used, because it is part of a social aid project we require donations, which we spared wood and pvc pipes. The construction of the communal garden will be worked on together with the neighbors and volunteers.
