TBT - Total Body Tabata Get fitter, faster, and change your body by pushing through time with the popular Tabata formula. Using the unique Tabata style of training, this is the ultimate whole body workout in just 30 mins.

Yoga (HATHA) Yoga is the combination of breathing, meditation and stretching. The aim is to balance mental and physical state and improve general well-being. All welcome Wattbike We’ll be running a 1 hour coach-led session every 2 weeks, one morning session and one afternoon session. Get booked in at main reception or at the gym desk!

Pilates Stacey will be running a brand new Pilates class, Tuesday evening at 7:30pm. Pilates concentrates on slow, measured repetitive movements with the intention of strengthening lesser-used muscles.

The ergonomic design of the handgrips, shaped around the geometry of the user’s hands, evenly distributes the load during push and pull

movements. Surface finishing improves the grip and the notches on the grip act as a tactile and visual guide to achieving symmetrical hand positioning.

All paddings of the a natomically shaped seat and two-piece backrest are made of special high density foam that adapts anatomically to the shape of each body, providing maximum comfort and a beneficial stabilizing effect during exercise.

This is part of an ongoing redevelopement of the entire club over the coming months.

Eat Your Water ...and the importance of fluids

Water comes from more than just fluids, it is a major component of many foods. In fact, it is estimated that 20% of our water needs are met through food, not fluids.

Meal consumption is critical to ensure full hydration on a day to day basis.

Eating food promotes fluid intake and retention. Foods with high water content add volume but minimal calories to the diet. Thus, these foods high in water are known to promote a feeling of fullness.

Fluid is essential to life. With around 60/70% of the human body made up of water this makes fluids one of the most important aspects to every individual’s daily functions.

Fruits and vegetables are two food groups that have generally high water content.

Even meat, bread, and dairy products contain some water.

We need fluid for many reasons, including: • to carry nutrients around the body in the blood • to help chemical reactions in our body take place • to replace loss of fluid through sweating and breathing

• for weight loss • to get rid of waste products.

Drinking the right type of fluid will also play a massive role within the functions of the human body.

We will go on to talk about the effects dehydration has on the body, the effects caffeine and alcohol have on the body, why and how adding alkaline can help the cells become healthier, the secret to weight loss through fluid intake, what are the different supplement drinks and smoothie’s, as well as seeing if there is a difference between tap water and filtered water.

Here at Odyssey Spa we are a little obsessed with getting perfectly groomed Eyebrows. We know how much of a difference it can make to your face by framing your eyes and defining your features.

When i was first introduced to Billion Dollar Brows i was so excited to hear about a new brand on the market and couldn’t wait to get trained up and start introducing to my client’s.

Billion Dollar Brows have become massive in the states and the UK over the last few years. The brow boost, a brow enhancing serum was their first product they introduced and was very popular, then followed by brow pencils, gels and powders.

Billion Dollar Brows then decided to look at recreating the perfect brows in salons.

We launched Billion Dollar Brows back in 2014 and has been a great hit with clients. The treatment in the salon consists of tinting, measuring, waxing, precision tweezing and using make up techniques to create the perfect brows.

Touching is a natural human reaction to combat pain and stresses as well as showing compassion and support, what do you do if someone is upset – you give them a hug! So if we know that this is how the body works then why don’t we do more to help it along the way, why are we ignoring what our body tells us it wants?

Here at Odyssey we offer a wide range of treatments that are suited to all the body’s needs, but like most things in life we don’t want to make things a chore, it should be enjoyed you should be made to feel special.

Deep tissue massage combines concentrated pressure and stretches to sore overworked muscles, this increases the oxygen levels and makes the blood flow at an increased rate towards those targeted areas. Overworked muscles will stay tight unless you do something about it, this massage combined with blended oils will alleviate pain and get your body back to how you want it – fighting fit.

The odyssey Wellbeing massage is a relaxing Swedish massage which uses long strokes from the soles of your feet to the tip of the head to relive those day to day stresses.
